Kennedy originally sent advisors, not an invasion. Amazing how dictators without oil are ok. You might want to crack a book on how the Shah came to power that led to the 1979 Iranian revolution that you cite as the start of the Muslim uprising. Hint- he was installed by a CIA coup & after ~30 yrs the natives got restless. What do you think will happen with an Iraqi puppet government? Yet GW has made everything better here & abroad. Like I said, NO ONE seems to want to notice that Bush had the full use of the govt for ~9 months before 9/11/01, a briefing on Osama in Aug. '01, and Condi claims no one could have predicted it. One intelligent guy did. Osama is still walking around, the anthrax mailer is still unknown & free. But Bush is on the ball. I guess the past 2+ years of American occupation of Iraq is to finish picking up all the candy & flowers the grateful Iraqis are throwing to our troops, just like Cheney predicted.

Well yea, noone is forcing me to fight, I'd be Canadian faster than you can say "Oh Canada...". I was referring to the 100,000's of troops deployed over there, and the 1,000+ who have died.
My biggest problem with the war and Bush is the fact that we had stuff to do here, in America. Saddam, regardless of how horrible a person he was (and I agree he needed to be ousted) was not a top priority. IF we should worry about anybody who blatently has WMD's, it's Korea... they were never shy about having/developing them
All I know is we were attacked on 9/11 by Osama bin Laden and his followers, by people who volunteered to kill themselves for something believed in. That's a pretty intense hate of the USA if you ask me. I'm pretty darned sure that we have yet to lay a finger on Osama. We sure did fix daddy's early 90's mess though!

Selfish? YEP! Because we are not invicible. We must take care of ourself before we can help others. America is not well. Especially after the NO disaster. Where are the 100,000's of troops that could be helping? Oh, on the other side of the planet.. that's it.
