Tell me,why do people believe that campaining and winning public office up to the level of president has any real corelation with the skill set needed to run the free world?I'm republican btw :wink: On the other side I voted for Bush because he is a man of action,or reaction, as the case may be;and rather consistant,plus he knows enough to surround himself with bright staff :wink:
Ricky you are just a kid you have no clue, if you look at the timeline of events you will see that while Billy was getting his freak on in the oval office terrorists were attacking us all over the world then after we left Mogadishu with our tails between our legs, on clintons orders, Osama released a statement saying "the american solder is a paper tiger and after a few blows runs in defeat" one month later the planning of sept 11th started.
Clintons weakness caused the loss of over 4000 americans lives in NY...so why don't you go get a Hummer from some other dumb liberal arts major
and leave the politics to people that were alive when the Muslim holy war started back in 1979 when Pres Jimmy let Islamic fanatics take over Iran and take the US Embassy hostage.

Why don't you think a little further back into the past to the last time a twit from TX was installed, not elected, as president. Got a war on under totally falsified pretenses (the ship in the Gulf of Tonkin was never attacked), 55K dead later and who knows how many maimed & wounded, & no results so we eventually pull out. Then we come to Tricky Dick with the secret bombings, the pledge to end the war, and disdain for the press & truth (sound familar?). He takes it one step further to make sure he wins the next election & gets caught & impeached for an actual crime(not lying under oath about a hummer). GW has knowingly falsified pretenses for a war & started one, been asleep at the wheel on his watch for the events of 9/11/01, the still unsolved anthrax mailings, Osama still draws breath, and is mismanaging the war in Iraq & NO ONE calls his fool ass on it. No one investigates the cronyism & Halliburton rip offs still going on in Iraq. I will leave FEMA & Katrina out of this since that thread is well discussed.But Clinton got investigated up the wazoo for Whitewater & impeached for lying to cover up cheating on his wife (who among us wouldn't?). That's the crime of the century? Yet Bush gets a free pass on all his screwups & crimes? He is running this country into the ground the same way all those failed businesses of his ended up. Except this time we all pay the price for years to come & his rich friends won't come bail out the US or us regular people. And yes, I know LBJ was a democrat & no, I never voted for Clinton. I am not discussing party just intellect, methods, and lack of results.
We had all the Legal Justification we needed to go to war in Iraq long before Sept 11th, Iraq violated almost all the Cease fire agreement pledges, including firing on US planes In the Iraqi no fly zone...Bush didn't need to find any Legal justification, We already had it ...so all this crap about an "illegal war" is a lie.
I don't believe anybody was talking about vietnam,, and no I wouldn't lie about cheating on my wife, or cheat on her for that matter but that says a lot about you, that you would.

But I do believe the impeachment was based on an extremely critical character flaw; that being Integrity. (Not to mention Family Value, Honesty, ad nauseam.)

For example, Osama is like a cancerous cell that showed up in 1993 when the first World Trade bombing occured during the Clinton era, but left untreated turned into a full blown tumor by the time Bush was in his second year of office.

I'm not married. I like owning both halves of my house & NSX. The fact that you can't or won't see the parallels to Vietnam only reaffirms the old addage about those that don't study history are condemned to repeat it. Saddam was good enough for Rummy to schmooze with & funny how Iraq wasn't a problem until Sept. 12th. And the plans were conveniently drawn up ahead of time just waiting for an excuse to get used. And the lapdog press, Congress, and most of the public bought it hook, line, and sinker. Read the Constitution & show me our declaration of war. Last time any president got of their ass & went to Congress to formally declare one was after Pearl Harbor.

.First of all you need to get the facts straight, we started using agent orange in vietnam when JFK was in office...and Ricky, nobody is forcing you to go to Iraq..We have no draft..and parallels to Vietnam?....we went to Vietnam to loose a war....we never even tried to "win" the Vietnam war and that's why it was the worst blunder in US history, we were so afraid to piss off Moscow that we spent 10 years loosing our Men for nothing except staving off the massacre of 2 million south Vietnamese which did occur in the 2 years after we left..we went to Iraq to build a non dictator run nation..so maybe you should check your history.

Talking/arguing politics is pointless...nobody is going to change anybody's mind....however posting stuff that bashes one politically significant individual is just picking a fight...and from what i recall the off topic description says "tread lightly on politics" ....I don't see anybody posting stuff making fun of or complaining about say.....Elton John,Jessie jackson,sean penn ect ect ect...how about you go to www.moveon.org and Im sure there are people there would love political posts from you.
