I have a 2001 and it's been 6 weeks since I've had the car. I've noticed that when I'm let off the throttle to shift, the engine stays at the rpm for 1-2 seconds. There is also a slight delay when I get back on the throttle. This happens at random but enough times to cause my shifts to be "jerky". I just wonder if this is normal. The car is still under warranty but I thought I would ask here first. Other than this, the NSX is a great car. Just a FYI, my other car is a Honda 5speed so I do know how to drive a manual. Thanks for any info.

The rpm hanging is quite normal, all TBW cars do it. It is an emissions thing, to keep the throttle plate from slamming shut and giving a momentary rich condition.

Not quite sure about the hesitiation "on throttle" though. Maybe describe it again? Are you saying you get back on the throttle and you get nothing for a split second??
