Throttle Body Removal

Go look at it. It's been a while for me but isn't it super thick rubber? I've taken my tb off several times without ever replacing it.

there's a thick rubber (?) insulating block, no gasket there. I did a throttle body clean boxing day, so definitely sure!!!

take off air filter concertina tube, undo 4 12mm nuts, undo some water hoses and throttle cable and it come off! nice and straight forward

The rubber spacer does not need to be replaced unless it is damaged. There is no paper gasket on the NSX, unlike many other Honda models. The rubber spacer serves as gasket and thermal insulator. When I did mine a few weeks ago, I just cleaned the rubber and then coated the mating surface with a very thin amount of silicone grease (enough to darken the rubber but not create a layer of goo) before reinstalling.

+1 advice

Thank you guys, I stand corrected, it is not a traditional paper gasket - it is rubber.
Good to know I don't have to replace it, so I won't purchase one ahead of time.
+1 on all advice above.
silicon grease application, I didn't think to do that, but I definitely will, because it makes sense.

16176-PR7-A00 is the rubber gasket and very expensive to replace : $141.00
