The most common car I saw was a thing called a "Smart" which basically looked like someome cut a minivan in half and made it a two seater.

They are also quite resistant!!!

You are lucky, I always wanted to visit Italy.

Did you visit Milan or any designer's clothing stores? It must be really awesome visting the huge Dolce & Gabanna, Jil Sander, Just Cavalli, Diesel, Evisu and various Italian brand shops.

In Rome, just below the Spanish Steps, there's a street called the "Via Condotti" that is filled w/ exclusive designer shops. In Venice, there were many designer shops also ( staffed w/ beautiful model type saleswomen ). I didn't buy anything because of the crappy Euro/Dollar exchange rate. I didn't visit Milan.
