Those who have deleted the stereo, How did you cover the space in the center console

Just had a black aluminium sheet mounted behind - maybe not as beautiful, but cheap and quick. The item at the right is the laptimer display - has to be removable because you sometimes need to change the batteries. If not I would have mounted it fixed in that metal sheet.
