Thinking of Ending My Dream

Someone take this guy out to the track for a ride in an NSX and his dream will be alive and well again.

By the way... when the NSX came out I was your age. I always wanted one. I got sidetracked and bought all these other cars instead. I am talking some nice cars, not junk. I finaly bought an NSX and now wonder why I didn't do it sooner. Don't make the same mistakes I made sonny boy!

Stick with your dream but don't fall into the trap of linking achieving it with being happy (and therefore letting it make you unhappy in the meantime).

Cost of keeping a 20 year old NSX on the road is probably still just scheduled maintainance + some rubber parts + the odd thing here and there that all cars require, and if you keep up with that, I don't see reliability becoming a sudden issue.

Work hard and focus on the things that really do matter, being able to purchase a NSX will follow naturally.

No matter how old the NSX gets it will still be a NSX. But what matters is finally owning a NSX. So keep dreaming and stay focus... Good Luck!

You have your entire adult life ahead of you. Concentrate on your direction for that life. Think about your passion, think about what career might mesh well with that passion. Also consider other goals in your life, such as home ownership, raising a family, etc. As time goes by, if you do well financially, you will be able to afford to have an impractical car (such as a two-seat sports car that eats tires) in addition to your daily transportation. At that point, there will be lots of cars to choose from, including new cars we don't even know about now, as well as plenty of used cars. There will always be well-cared-for NSXs on the market, and if that's still your choice, you'll be able to get one then.
