Thanks NEO!!! I'll be leaving (this post) now.
Maybe I'll stick to the NON AVITAR SELECTIVE-chivilrly threads.
(next time check your profiles before you say something that could be considered offensive)

I think NSX~Kleine was offended because Neo assumed Dana was going to bring a lot of posts and replies because of the avatar.
It took me a while to figure out that NSX~Kleine is also a female. I am guessing she is upset over the whole avatar of a beautiful women expectation of bringing in more posts than a interesting conversation with a women regardless of looks.
I am just guessing here???

Either way I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt Neo would not intentionally do anything to hurt anyone's feelings.

Neo, no worries, mate. ;)

Is anyone a fan of George Romero movies? I have to say I am a little excited about his second one being remade, although it does look a little too "contemporary" for my tastes...

Ooh, I'm at 400 posts! :p

Indeed. With due respect, don't the women think they're a tad bit overreacting? So NeoNSX presumed Dana was the only female on this thread (I think most of us did, too), should he and the rest of us click on all ~6,000 members' profiles to make sure no one would be offended? If anything, my own first post on this thread (regarding "T&A") is more offensive than anything NeoNSX posted, yet no one has complained...yet.

If I were a member with a sexually ambiguous screen name and avatar on a forum where it's 95% women, and some hunky guy posted his pic below his name, It wouldn't surprise me if members presumed he was the only man on a given thread, much less offended. Compliments about his looks wouldn't surprise me, either, so I'm a little confused regarding this.

NeoNSX has even apologized and sincerely asked for an explanation, but he's been left hanging, which leads us to just speculate as to what went wrong. If one posts offense, doesn't it make sense to at least explain why, so that we all can be more "sensitive" in the future?

Okay, enough about that. Who's George Romero?

George Romero directed several great horror films (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead). Later this month a remake of Dawn of the Dead is coming to theaters, but it looks kinda lame. I mean, since when can a dead person run a friggin' 4 minute mile, like the ones in the commercials appear to be capable of? :)

LOL, I didn't know a dead person could run at all , but I guess you're comparing it to previous horror flicks. ;)

Is "Dawn of the Dead" a remake of "28 Days Later"? I didn't really care for that one as far as horror flicks go (too dark for my taste, but YTMV).

Yeah, in George's movies, the zombies lumber around really slow, which I think is much more believable. As believable as make-believe can be, anyway.

Actually, "28 Days Later" took a lot of it's ideas from "Dawn..". The original "Dawn of the Dead" was made in 1978.

I thought "28 Days Later" was a great film. Great post-apocalytic fun. :D

I went to have my new 20" tires put on my summer wheels for the BMW today. Found out one of my wheels is slightly bent. Now I have to send it out to have it repaired. Anyone have an opinion on repairing a bent wheel. I am being quoted 75-150 for the repair. The wheels cost 960 each so I would rather repair the thing than replace it. Is it possible that a repaired wheel is weaker after the repair and may bend easier because of being repaired?

On another note while waiting to have the tires mounted the owner of the shop asks me if I want to see a brand new 2004 Vette. Sure I say. He takes me over to another building and there sits a brand new sticker in the window 2004 convertible vette scratched and gouged on every single panel. Apparently while the vehicle was being detailed for the new owner the detailer bumped it into gear and drove it through a overhead door. OUCH.

I had the NSX vs.Vette conversation with the guy and he agreed that the NSX far exceeded the Vette in build quality, but said dollar for dollar the Vette is great sports car.

stumbling zombies make much more sense (even if less dynamic) the have decayed eyes, they shouldnt be able to 'see'....although zombies doing a daley thompson impression are funny! The new film has ving rhames in it may be worth a watch.

Japaenese horror films are way more freaky though like Juon 2.
Dead kids walking across ceilings in the middle of the night, creepy!

Ajnsx, I've never seen any Japanese horror films. The one you mentioned about the children walking on the ceiling sounds good! Any other films to recommend? :)

"Dawn of the Dead", hmm...

A very scary Japanese movie I saw on IFC last year was "Ghost in the Studio" or something like that. About a haunted movie studio where the ghost slowly reveals itself through film in the edit room!

Hmm, sounds like "Ringu" (or the US version, "The Ring").

I heard "The Eye" is worth renting too.

We should have a horror movie night at some of our fellow NSXers' awesome home theaters! :D

NSXmadness : It's all good. I PMed both NSX~Kleine & Dana, and we've sorted it out privately off the forums. I've just been too busy with other stuff to get back to this. So everyone's happy... i think. :)

So post-wh0re away!!!

PS. I still double-dare lud to lock this thread. hahaha... that would be soooo funny. ;)

wow so "joun" gave you the creeps
yeah there was slight creepage evident!

Joun 1 and 2 are called 'the grudge part 1 and 2' in America, try the arthouse/foreighn film/horror section of your friendly local video store!
(yeah i worked at blockbuster through my uni years:D )

That's good, NeoNSX, glad everyone's cool. If you keep tempting Lud, though, he just might close this pointless thread.

PHOEN$X: No, that's not the movie I saw but I'd like to check out those movies you and ajnsx mentioned, though; it's hard to find truly scary movies.
