I just test drove a BMW M3 with the SMG transmission and also rode in a NSX with a Comptech supercharger. I thought by combining a NSX with a supercharger and F1 paddle shifting it would make the car perfect. I could not believe the shift speed of the SMG especially on downshifts where it blips the throttle automatically. I hope the new NSX will incorporate this technology because the manual transmission seems dated by comparison.
