I don't own any of the Matrix films....

and you call yourself the ONE.....

Im going to get it, cause I want to understand the philosophy behind it AND I think its one of the all time best movies ever made.....

I have all 3 movies but purchased separately. I'm a big fan of the series and all the sci fi stuff. To me, the 3rd movie was a bit of a let down because the first two movies were so good.

Rarely is a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc... movie as good or better than the first. I can't think of any. Or I've never seen one.

If you are a real matrix fan you will buy it no matter if its good or bad.

Guess i'm not a REAL matrix fan then, huh? ;)
Now if the Matrix had just 1 NSX scene in it, i'd buy it no questions asked. :D Especially if it were involved in the freeway chase in some way.

Anyone got it? Is it good?

I got it. Like you, I never got around to buying any of the regular Matrix DVDs, so when this set was announced it seemed like the perfect way to "catch up" with the whole Matrix fandango.

Super-short review:

Movies: Like the first one best, but the other two are enjoyable as well.
"Revisited"s: Good "making of" documentaries, but they get repetitive after a while. I mean, how much of Keanu practicing kung fu can you take?
Animatrix: Haven't watched yet
Other three discs: Haven't watched yet.

So, for less than sixty bucks, I feel I've already got my money's worth, and still have four DVDs to go.

"The Road Warrior"??? Don't you mean "Mad Max"

Had to laugh when they dubbed the original film! It was already in english!!! Just Australian accents which apparently American's can't understand

BTW, Neo, You don't need to buy the DVD box set... You were in it! Sales weren't that bad that you have to buy the DVD's yourself to increase the ratings... Were they?

how about Terminator 2, Spiderman 2, Toy Story 2, and Evil Dead 2! (even though it's not technically a "sequel")

:) Actually, I'm more worried about people buying the box set, then coming to me demanding their money back! :D :D :D ROFL

How about Lord of the Rings?

I was actually going to say Lord of the Rings too, but to me it wasn't really a sequel. It was more of a continuing story. A very long and good continuing story.

Mr.NeoNSX, I would appreciate a refund after seeing your movies. I left the theatre confused. Why would you persist in pointless hand-to-hand combat which allows your nemesis to get up and resume fighting? And your dialogue was perplexing. Let me give you some acting advice: Always let your handgun do the talking. And like American Express, never leave home without it. :D

I did the same. number 1 was mindblowing when i first saw it in the cinema number two was a bit of spin out and number three just blew. Still enjoy watchin' them though, they look great on the plasma tele!

Yeah i heard they did it with 'the castle' too. Ruins the experience. Same with watching dubbed manga. We have to mingle through the American accents, 'bout time they did the same!

Forever Mad Max, go the Aussie Ford gt :D

Mr.Wolf : I think everybody was left confused about the Matrix - at least parts 2&3. As for my acting ... i can't act. :D

AJNSX : Part one has grown on me (ok, the lobby scene rocked the instant i saw it), Reloaded had great action but yawn-inducing dialogue scenes, and Revolutions was a typo -- it was meant to be Revolting. :D Thing I really hate about Matrix Reloaded is everybody got to see my crack. So embarrassing.... :p :D
