The LOUDEST NSX

I just recently purchased a 92 black nsx, stick. On my previous car I use an eletric cut off, the engine was in the front so the exhaust pipe had a much longer way to travel. Since the engine is in the back and the pipe is not as long as if it were in the front would a cutoff be the loudest way to go on my nsx. Do not worry about dmv or emissions as its always good having friends who work their, so it doesnt need to be street legal and can exceed the 95dba level. I want to scare the $#$* out of people when i drive by, but i dont what a high whining sound like a modded civic. Also anything else that would make it louder would be helpful, the only thing thats currently modded on the engine is a HKS mega flow intake. Also i have seen some pretty nice car graphics, im ausiming they are vinly are their any other websites besides modern image that offer these graphics. take out your cats and run the JGTC straight flow exhaust, the center one.
If you just cut off your exhaust you'll burn a valve, then your car won't be very loud at all.

Other than that it sounds like your going for the ricey civic look, so why not make it sound like a civic!!!!!!!!!!

If you dump the exhaust before the muffler it is going to sound like crap. Really loud crap. Take the exhaust off and start it up if you want to find out for yourself. People are not going to be impressed, they are going to be asking what is wrong with your car. Search this website and you will find tons of posts on the different exhausts available and sound clips.

As for the car graphics... please don't do it. Why take a beautiful car like the NSX and cover it with a bunch of tacky crap?

If you want something loud, but also sounds good, there is a Gruppe M exhaust for sale in on the forum. Shrilling sound, and loud.

I think i came off the wrong way. The electric cutoutt can be found on this page http--www.buickgn.com-electricexhaustcutout.htm i would like to know what you all think about that. Also i was looking at sos their charts on volume for the exhaust how accurate do you think it really is. They say the loudest is TAITEC S-TAI Racing Exhaust any one have it? Is their anything louder? thanks for your time

The SOS charts are accurate, but they can't tell you what you might like. I looked at the electric cutt-out thingy. Looks to me like a butterfly type valve activated by an actuator, which then bypasses the muffler(s). On a scale of 1 to 1,000,000, it would fall somewhere around 1,000,000 on my list of wanted mods. That's my kind opinion of what I think about it. But, that's my personal opinion.

I purchased the first on a particular exhaust for the NSX, which was made wrong, and ended up being not much more than strait pipes (with cats). It wasn't much louder than the Taitec S-TAI, but the Taitec at least has a much better note, again IMO. Either the Taitec or the Gruppe M will most most definately draw attention if that's what your looking for. Besides, with the Taitec or Gruppe M, you might get invited back to your local NSX gatherings. j/k

We did run my car around the shop with just the headers during the last exhaust change and it sounded like a cross between a nascar stocker and a snow mobile so have fun!
