The Hunt For My NSX Begins Now!

I have been to look and sit in that car about a month ago. I'm going to go and hopefully drive it next weekend if its still avail. I like how the price has dropped from $42 to $39, but not sure the who/what/when details of the car.

Thanks for the heads up on the price drop.

I also went to look at this car while I was in Barrie. Wasn't impressed with the overall car. The price was out of line for the stupid childish mod's that were apparently done. It even has a really cheap shift knob.. I know what i kind of previous owner this car had now simply by those cheap mods.

No offense to anyone, but I have a hard time taking an NSX with Enkei wheels seriously.. especially one that is a dealership.

If there is anything you DONT change on an NSX, I would have to strongly argue it would be the perfectly designed shift knob that matches that heavenly engineered transmission.

I understand your sentiment. However, sometimes when people mod cars with limitted access to parts and knowledge the car winds up looking like that. They wanted to personalize it, but didn't know how.

I'd look at its pedigree, maintenance and overall condition. You can pick up a set of stock rims for $1000 or less and a shift knob really cheap to. If it's a good car, don't write it off because the previous owner had bad taste.

I just bought a 1993 white/black with 64K. It has three peice Enkei rims and full Comp Tech exhaust. No big deal. The exhaust is what I would change. The rims, believe it or not, I get compliments on (and the whole car). Other than that, it's stock.

Swbatte noted the MOST important things: pedigree, maintenance. As I mentioned, I have a 1993. I have all the service records on the car dating back to the original owner.... 14 years of records. I have (today) called the original owner in Miami to ask him about the car and to see if he has any photos from when he owned it.

My advise is that these car can have great history and will be respected for the ground breaking designs and engineering. Each year reflects differences, and that's a good thing. Know your budget, your preferred years and color. and then seek out a car that has a solid traceable history. That's what "resale" is all about.

Enjoy your hunt for a piece of history.

Those Enkei wheels on that NSX are pretty light.. prehaps thats why the owner put them on ?
