I bought my 1991 NSX in 1997 with 10k miles on it. It now has about 17.5k miles really just like owning and occasionally driving it. From the beginning, I have used this site for nsx information and resolving problems I have had from window regulator replacement to speaker removal and repair to the latest (this weekend) removing the center console to remove the climate control unit circuit board. I could not have resolved these issues without the help of so many cool people. Just wanted to say thank you all!

So you bought a car 20 years ago, used the forums, and just now giving thanks???
This smells of spam in a pan. If true, boy you're a late bloomer....

Maybe a late bloomer but no malicious intent. Truly thanking those that have taken the time to take pictures and describe the process of repair so that others can feel confident to attempt some of these repairs. The ccu circuit board removal and replacement was quoted to me from my local Acura dealer at $450 with a 50% chance of cracking the vent. I did it myself in about an hour (no cracked vent) plus quite a bit of time researching here first especially the tip of using a credit/id card to release the clips. So yeah not spam.

you are not the only owner who posts very little, but reads a ton:cool:.......and yes there are so many handy guys who take time to help the community.Feel free to post more....

For some reason this thread/post is making me think it'd be an interesting idea to have an event at an NSXPO where skilled contributors planning to attend a given NSXPO are organized to have a sort of group-hug work session one morning / afternoon, where owners can perform typical PM/repairs for which it'd be really helpful to have experienced hands/owners nearby. Things like:

short shifter installation
radio/hvac removal for service
window thingies installation and/or Hugabuga's kit installation
seat leather replacement
harness bar removal (or install)
b-pillar (or other) replacement
Bumble bee trim install (otherwise known as: PGH Steelers upgrades)
battery tray & battery replacement/upgrade
LED lights upgrades
Steering wheel replacements
detailing clinics for those of us too busy in life to make time for frequent simple detailing

I have yet to take the time to remove my radio & HVAC unit to send to Brian K for rebuild. Although I have full confidence in myself to perform the work once I read up on what's needed, it sure would have been fun to do that in a group environment where others are similarly plugging along nearby and with experienced persons available nearby to help speed things up and help prevent any big goofs. I would rather have spent 2-3 hours doing that than cleaning my car for the concours only to have the judges spend 15 seconds going over my car at the tail end since their initial inspections took way too long and rain was on the way. :)

I agree with RG, the info & efforts available here at Prime are worth more than the annual membership that many of us choose to pay. THX to those.

Cool, sorry for the unwarm welcome but there has been a few posts like that which turned into spammers.

I see most NSX guys/gals are a "registered user" but I think the best way to show appreciation for all the priceless info this forum provides is to cough up a few bucks a year to support the efforts of the moderators and contributors. Just sayin...

Thanks AJ for the suggestion. Usually when i'm on the site it is to solve a problem or gather data. Because NSX Prime doesn't hammer you to become a member, I did not realize that was a thing. I now know and am happy to become a paid member.

you just gained 20 hp:biggrin:

Are you an nsxca member too? You get nsxdriver specific magazines and discounts when you're a member on that.
