Looking for my bad part causing my codes... Going to go through them one by one with my Ohm Tester and find my problem. Just getting misfire codes, ABS and TSC lights...

(I have 18/19 wheels so from what I'm hearing TSC will always be a problem, ABS I think I have figured down to the rear pass wheel sensor and the misfire hoping the ignitor or coils or o2.) The car runs and drives fine.

I just got another ignitor but want to know what the proper specs are.

I need ohm specs for the following:

1. Wheel Sensors

2. Ignitor

3. O2 Sensors

I have searched the service manual but can't seen to find what is the proper operating ohms so I can get started trouble shooting

You won't get very far with an ohmmeter on those items. I believe wheel sensors are inductive devices, but I am not certain. O2 sensors give a voltage when heated up, but are open loop when cold. The ignitor is a set of relays. It ought to be OL also when not in use.

With a voltmeter, if it's sensitive enough, you can see the O2 sensor switching back and forth at idle. You can probably show voltage coming out of the ignitor with the engine running, but even at idle it's firing each coil 6 times per second, so it's likely you'll only confirm it's not dead. A scope is probably much better suited for testing ignitors and wheel sensors.

I didn't think an 18/19 combo was enough of a difference to cause TCS problems, but maybe for earlier models? What year car do you have?

It's a 96...

I'm just trying to figure this misfire deal out and figured I could have tested the items to find the odd part out..

After research it just appears that some people have had the same problems and buying up coils, ignitors, and o2's and still have the same problems I just want to be a but more technical and see how I can figure out the fix to the codes.

A few years ago I picked up a Parallax USB Oscilloscope. It's been a valuable tool in diagnosing electrical related issues.

I'm sure there are other lower cost (less than $50) USB scopes on ebay that will work just fine. Trust me, it's going to be the first tool you'll bust out when diagnosing sensors.

Most scopes are sensitive enough where you don't even need to splice into the wires, just clip them around the insulation and it'll pick up the signals through induction.

Might help if I knew how to use one :)

Current codes.... the search continues... HELP

checked the coils again put in a new contact spring in one coil.. Rescanned the car and I get the following:

P1316 79 Spark Plug Voltage Detection Circuit Malfunction, Front Bank
P1317 79 Spark Plug Voltage Detection Circuit Malfunction, Rear Bank
P1318 79 Spark Plug Voltage Detection Module Reset Circuit Malfunction, Front Bank
P1319 79 Spark Plug Voltage Detection Module Reset Circuit Malfunction, Rear Bank

What does P1318 and P1319 mean?? Voltage dectection reset circuit????Does this mean the ignitor I changed out is not function correctly as I was not getting these codes before?

I'm going to check the o2 wires and then start replacing them to see if this has anything to do with the check engine light.

I did read that the TSC unit runs the the TSC and ABS which I guess could be another part to look at. Correct?

The car runs and drives fine... it does have a hint of running rich but might be due to the temp.

the check engine light comes on as soon as the car starts no delay on coming on. The abs kicks on as soon as I start rolling forward (think is a wheel sensor)

ANY HELP would be great just want the cluster to stop looking like a christmas tree it's ticking me off
