Testing at Mid Ohio...

the new car has a rather flat or horizontal front hood ala R8 and the windshield is too vertical....the hsc got it right...much more exotic looking to me.

I mistaked the HSV with the HSC

Oh yea?

Show me the Tiburon and HSV

The HSC looked like a Tiburon .......

Very cool engine. Is that not a V8 though for the race version?

I'm glad you showed the video. It reminded me that a front engine V10 with a very low hood line.....

Well the HSV is suppose to have a front-mid 550HP 3.5 liters V-10.

And the GT3 uses... DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING!!!

A six cylinder engine!

Well, if this NSX doesn't bring the goods, I'm jumping brands and buying a GT3 (Ken Sax will kill me).

Anybody know that whether the NSX prototype will only be lapping the course or maybe some spokeperson from Acura or maybe the test driver will speak about the engine that they are using in the prototype because some articles are saying that the prototype indeed will be using the 3.5l v6 with 3 electric motors? Car and driver and motor trend sai it I believe..

I'm with Doc on this not looking exotic enough and I wish there was more of a family resemblance. I think McLaren made a better NSX 2 than Honda. If someone were to have told me this were it I'd believe them:

McLaren-MP4-12C-interior.jpg

short front, prominent side intakes, rear wing, tail light area that spans the width of the car (sorta), exposed mid engine (I realize it didn't come this way stock except the R but a lot of us run it this way). and a minimalist interior with that same sloped dash/door arm rest

They just need to tone down that ridiculous grinning look it has from the front...

NSX 2.0 doesn't look anything like a supercar to me....

Man, I swear I've that front lower valence before... *scratches head*
That's what I was going to say. It screams knock off of the NSX Concepts's front end - not just the smiling grill, but also the lower ducts, the detailing, the mirror attachments and even the fender lines above the wheels. It even has a beak of its own! Although I like the Concepts headlights, these look a little meaner. This is annoying. Talk about stealing someones thunder.... Isn't there a design patent protecting the work that Honda did?

Guys, that photo of that Bats posted is the Avenger NSX with Mazda's grill photoshopped over top of it. This is what the new Miata is supposed to look like:

Not bad for a Miata.

I think this is a fake. I can't find on Google. Where did this come from Batman? I smell photoshop.

Sorry fellas, I am a little slow on the uptake this morning. I should probably just get back to my work.

Not sure if I agree with you on that.

Wow so there are 3 different videos out there of the new NSX. That last one being the longest. I'm surprised nobody has posted this up until now. Good find.

We all know it's going to be a V6. That speculation is consistent. I'm just saying it sounds different than the other two videos.

This is funny because my NSX with HKS sounds very similar to the VQ35 engine and HKS came out with the exhaust almost 20 years ago for the NSX...

I wouldn't judge until you hear the car in person. These video have been edited so much, it's hard to say what anything sounds like let alone the accuracy and quality of the speakers that you are listening to it through. Everyone has different takes and personal preferences on exhaust sound too.

The videos posted of the NSX Prototype in motion have made it more enticing though.

Can you post a video of your car?

More often than not, exhaust sounds different in the cabin and outside. even with the windows rolled down.

The Nissan exhaust just sounds tuned and refined.
