Teenagers get weirder

pre-teens are weirder...

BTW, I was at Advance Auto Parts last-nite to get some lubricant/penetrant for rusted exhaust nuts/bolts (also inquiring about their annual calenders which have lucrative-coupons for Mobil 1 and other detailing/maint' supplies), I noticed fart-can type exhaust tips that are resonated... simply attach to current OEM exhaust...

[Lil' Jon is da mannn'... what I'd give to be in his shoes for a nite... ]

Kevin Federline is the guy who live of his wifes money not to mention leaving a pregnant previous wife. Bad image.Anybody got a photo of him driving Britney's F360 Spyder?

LOL, it is a Honda CRX, and the fart cans are the exacust tips...see how large they are, and they make a farting noise when you accelerate
This is what MY generation does with their cars.

Well I wouldn't say you are too far off from 'our' generation what with your 04NSX with 'allother suspenion goodies' and 'loud stereo pushin' 2500+ watts.'

I had to bust your balls there, buddy.

Why is all of this a mystery to you? It's called "bad taste", and it's everywhere.

How long have you been alive? You never noticed bad taste before or something?

The "Fart Can" is a mystery to me- I suppose they put them on to make believe they have a more high performance vehicle even though they budgeted on the cheap?

There is a distinctly different tone to a full header/cat-back exhaust swap than there is to the bolt on fart canister-

I should know, my Integra GSR had header/cat back swap - it cost me a buck or two, but I actually got some performance- about 12whp after I/H/E. (I got 3 different numbers from 3 different dynos- 12 was the average)

Maybe this explains the "spinner" hub caps- (not wheels- hubcaps) or the propensity for everything Type R.

My observation is that kids will put "Type R" on ANYTHING.

We have Mustang Type R s, Hyundai Type R s, Isuzu Pick up Type R s

I have even seen the sticker placed in front of the rear wheel well on an older BMW 3 series.

So you are driving an 82 Buick Riviera? <!!STICK!!> SWEET! now you have an 82 Riviera Type R! Badness...

I also love to see cars "re-badged" like the Hyundai with an Acura badge.

It also becoming more common to see the mounting points for a picnic table wing mounted on the trunk-lid, but no wing. I guess they are starting to believe those wings are "too ricey" who knows...

Of course, this might just be a north Texas phenomenon...

Just because there is bad taste doesn't mean I will understand the reasoning that leads to bad taste.

Right.

But I must add that when I first got my driver lisence, I actually wouldn't mind modding my car like that.

Well, I would try to make the best out of what I already had, and maybe added on some Lexus-style taillights, a aluminium rear wing, a fart can and so on. Maybe the younger people just are trying to make their cars as cool as they can make them? That's my theory. We can clearly see that it doesn't always work. Three years later, I wouldn't do this kind of mod's to any car even if I got paid... Seriously.

Fart cans are bad. They are universal mufflers that haven't spent any time being "tuned" to sound good with any car.

Back in 1998 when I bought my Integra GSR, I put a Greddy exhaust and a DC 4-1 Stainless header in (with AEM CAI). The sound was (and still is) just right - deep and consistent. The problem is that when I drive that car (daily driver), I get the feeling that people assume I'm part of the fart can crowd.

One thing worse than fart cans are the buzzy cans. Someone once explained the sound to me as a coffee can full of hornets. Combine that with an automatic transmission base model Civic and you get 18 seconds of quarter mile buzzing.

I think Neo did his last time for his avatar. He had his name NEO on his door plate in place of NSX.

Well, at least most people don't modify cars like Kevin Federline!

There isnt enough room on this forum to discuss the issues with Mr Federline. I am just glad his.....errrrr Brit's Ferrari now has a new home and hopefully with someone with more taste, talent, or a higher IQ.

All I will say is yes teenagers lost their minds the day I started seeing some of the guys with hair styles that looked just like the ones from the anime classic Robotech from the 80's!!

something i find quite interesting about fart cannons, they sound EXACTLY like high peroformance drift cars. theres a meet called drift day, and the falken team came out to it last time, and all there cars had the same sound. Given there running straight pipes and have the power to back up there BRAPPPPing sounds. but they sound very very similar. and its an ef hatch. nothing wrong with it there good cars if properly built and or maintained. This really can be said for almost any car though, if done tastefully it can look good.

HAHAHA. LOL. I like this one
