So I was driving back to work from my lunch break, sitting at a traffic light on a beautiful sunny day here in Plano TX. As I wait for the light to turn green I notice a good old boy in the pickup on my left looking over toward me in mysified dismay. I immediately look to my right and see the following...

Late Model Acura RSX

Stock wheels
Fart can
Pound puppie on the dash- not kidding- a stuffed animal stuck on top of the guage cluster

Scruffy Kevin Federline look-a-like behind the wheel bouncing in his drivers seat like a teenaged girl at an NSYNC concert. the equally disheveled passenger is bopping along in roughly the same manner.

I looked back over at the Good old boy, and he just shrugged.

The light turns green, everyone starts to move forward- The K-Fed look-a-like now driving along still shifting around in his seat like a Lil Jon video on fast forward-

I had to laugh- I could hardly stop myself.

Haha, well I'm 21 and I only know about "Lil Jon" - in short he is a hip hop artist.

The rest, no idea...

A fart can is a universal sport muffler with a large tip and obnoxious sound, a/k/a grapefruit shooter.

A pound puppie is a particular brand of small stuffed animal.

Kevin Federline married Britney Spears.

I'm 29 . . .

Chevette maybe? (well THAT shows my age!)
And is the "fart can" the car? Or the exhausts?

LOL, it is a Honda CRX, and the fart cans are the exacust tips...see how large they are, and they make a farting noise when you accelerate

This is what MY generation does with their cars.

Really, wow I dont know if I should be ashamed of my self for not knowing, or proud of my self for screwing it up. Point is, no one here or on any other forum will ever catch me driving one of those POS cars. EVER

What??...this isn't work??...than why am I wearing a uniform and fixing people's cars,,while spewing crazyness on the net??

I once bought a car with a "fart pipe" to repair and sell....I drove it for 15 mins...5 mins into my drive I had a headache!!...I don't understand how people (even young and dumb) can put up with that noise and punishment!!!

The "Fart Can" is a mystery to me- I suppose they put them on to make believe they have a more high performance vehicle even though they budgeted on the cheap?

There is a distinctly different tone to a full header/cat-back exhaust swap than there is to the bolt on fart canister-

I should know, my Integra GSR had header/cat back swap - it cost me a buck or two, but I actually got some performance- about 12whp after I/H/E. (I got 3 different numbers from 3 different dynos- 12 was the average)

Maybe this explains the "spinner" hub caps- (not wheels- hubcaps) or the propensity for everything Type R.

My observation is that kids will put "Type R" on ANYTHING.

We have Mustang Type R s, Hyundai Type R s, Isuzu Pick up Type R s

I have even seen the sticker placed in front of the rear wheel well on an older BMW 3 series.

So you are driving an 82 Buick Riviera? <!!STICK!!> SWEET! now you have an 82 Riviera Type R! Badness...

I also love to see cars "re-badged" like the Hyundai with an Acura badge.

It also becoming more common to see the mounting points for a picnic table wing mounted on the trunk-lid, but no wing. I guess they are starting to believe those wings are "too ricey" who knows...

Of course, this might just be a north Texas phenomenon...

I’m in the market for a “fart can”. Do you think the Comptech one is better value (and give more HP) than the SOS one? Hard decision.

(i'm only writing this because my cat is trying to get the letters and it's funny)

Can you believe the forum actually thanks me as I post posts like that??!

no, i meant the forum message that confirms the post...

oh, come on...i gotta work.:frown:

When I was driving my cousin's car, he had a bit of a fart pipe. And I have to say, it doesnt bother me at all. At thw lower RPMs is counds fairly nice and at high revs even better. I think this thinking and this likingness of the fart can.

And on my second post here I said I wouldnt be caught in a ricey POS, a mazda 626 with minor mods to it isnt ricey. Cars like that, which are slower then a RC car.

All in all yes, my generation is one big FCUK up when it comes to automobiles. Yes, we like modding like the hot rodders back i the day and the mussle car dude in the 60s/70s. But with movies like the FF, 2F2F and the possible third one, it makes a bunch of dumb ass who want to make a scene and pollute the way the car looks and sounds. So please, forgive my generation and blame Hollywood and K-mart for selling hub cap spinners and 6" under car neon lights. We're great people if you get to know us. I know I am

You have to start somewhere man. Seriously, my car is a $700 rustbucket rx-7. It's slower than my sisters four door civic, but still really fun.
