When I push the TCS button on my 91 nothing happens. No light, no nothing. It started raining the other day and I was in 2nd going around a turn, so just to test it I goosed it a bit and sure enough she kicked sideways on me. I also don't think my ABS is working, however there is no ABS warning light or anything on the dash lit up that would warn me of that.

Man guys, 29 views and not ONE REPLY?

You want quality over quantity, correct?

Do your ABS/TCS lights "burn out" when you first turn start the engine? The lights should come on for a second and then turn off...

Have you "exercised" your ABS system....you know slammed on the brakes in a wet parking lot??

The TCS switch has a habit of not making good contact if it is not used on a regular basis. Just click the button a few times and it should make good contact again... It should be green when on and yellow when off (early models...later years --I think-- just turn yellow when off).

Thanks you two. Looks like the ABS fuses were missing out of the fuse box, and the abs and tcs bulbswere REMOVED from the dash pod. The TCS switch is somewhat "f"d up. I'm purchasing a new TCS switch, the lights work in the dash now and the fuses are in. So now everything lights up pretty, now I just want to know why somebody removed that stuff.

I suspect your ABS system is not working very well, requiring an expensive fix.

The TCS switch can be easily disassembled and cleaned, I would not purchase a new one...it is not necessary.

You might want to ask the former owner if he has any knowledge of it ........ he is still active member on 'Prime.
Of course may have been before his time
Can possibly help with some of the other history you are wondering about, like your amber lights etc.

Edit - looks like he bought car with that problem already there - http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showpost.php?p=372041&postcount=39

Here is the for sale listing by the previous owner one step further removed! - he has an email address listed , although two years old, but worth trying.

So what size tires are installed?

The systems may be disabled due to inability of TCS to comprehend installed tire sizes.

Pulling the fuses on the ABS will disable the TCS too, but both lights will burn steady if the fuses are gone.

/I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the TCS without disabling the ABS too. Vice versa?
//double wonder: reasonable to reprogram TCS to adapt to different tire sizes?

Good Work!
I already spoke with the current owner and told him all that i knew of. As you found, the light was on when i had the car....how the light and fuses got removed is beyond me. I never bothered looking into getting the TCS looked at. It felt like it drove fine so i just left it alone.
