Targa tops!

First of all, the only car with a "Targa" is a Porsche. The NSX came from the factory with a removable roof panel as the NSX-T.

Can a removable roof panel be installed on an NSX Coupe? Yes.

Is it worthwhile doing? No. For reasons of structural integrity as well as market value.

Do a search and you will find a consensus to that effect.

If you have an NSX Coupe and want an NSX-T, it will be cheaper, safer, and wiser to sell your car and get an NSX-T instead.

is there such thing as a targa top conversion for a non targa NSX?

Nothing that would ever be worth attempting on a coupe.

With targas coming down in price (or early coupes stabalizing in price) you would be much better selling your coupe and buying the targa you want then butchering a coupe yourself IMO.

targa conversion would hardly even be realistic. true; one could simply hack away at the roof, and evenutally with some minor fabrication, you'd get a detachable roof. BUT to get something to perform to the structural specifications of a TRUE targa model would be virutally impossible.

and i can't even imagine what you'd do to the value of the car by doing aftermarket surgery like that. i'd either learn to like the coupe, or save a bit longer for the targa... nsx is NOT a car you hack up...
