last night I U turned at a 3 way intersection (y like with a little rotary like ) right out Boston College's gate right infront of a cop without signaling and into wrong lane. When I noticed theres a cop there its too late.. I was hoping that his mind wandered somewhere and didnt see it.
Then I stopped & wait for my light to right turn. Then he pulled next to me.. I was terrified!!! He made a hand signal then I pulled my window down.. and you know what he said ? " Nice car". whoo. scared me..

btw it was like around midnight.. Thanks God

kinda 'off topic', yet police related.
i live in connecticut and have yet (knock on wood) to be pulled over. however, i have had a few 'interesting' run-ins with the law.
in one instance, a state trooper was checking vehicles as they entered a parking area due to the 9-11 increased security policies. as i rolled up, he signaled me to roll down my window and proceeded to ask me a few questions. 'how do you like this car?' it's fantastic! i replied. he began walking around the vehicle looking at the rear, the front, etc., then he asked, 'how fast have you gotten this up to?' sort of a strange question. i began to wonder if it was some sort of trick question. his attempt to try to nail me on self-admission or something. but he had a smile on his face and seemed genuinely interested. (at this point another trooper walked up). my response was 'around 130... or so'. (stupid answer? maybe, but it felt right at the time) his eyes grew large took a step back and replied, 'that's it??!!, i've taken my beater faster than that! he smiled, we laughed and then he suggested i go check out a particular stretch of freeway that he said was fairly desolate and newly paved to really open it up.
the funniest thing is a very similar encounter with another trooper happened a few weeks after.

sounds like a nice cop---ive observed that the avg officer is a 'nice' guy if he's not overly immersed in his role. and they tend to drive a lot faster than the typical joeschmoe--hey, its part of their job description.

the ones who are hypocrites are the exception. these guys LIKE giving tickets to sportscars on desolate highways, and take it personally that you dare drive as fast as they do. i think policework is a really difficult job, and difficult jobs always have a number of 'difficult' employees. im actually surprised there arent more jerks in this line of work.

to neonsx's point, it did cross my mind. however, the guy was genuine. you can kinda get a sense by his interest. cops are just people like you and me. some have the same interests, some don't. and unfortunately, some feel that they need to abuse their authority. i honestly think he was a nice guy. however, i don't think he would've cheered me on if he saw me fly by at 150+!! but hey, i guess they do have a job to uphold!
