Here's my ARC titanium with straight pipe and DC headers.

gah! alas wheres the video at... im really wanting a gtone now

Thanks for the info guys.I was debating on witch of the two to get.As nice as the GT-one sounds I'm looking for something that won't be excessively loud at cruise speed. And by what I read the taitec is a little bit more quiet.

I doubt this very much. The GT1 is very quiet at cruise. The quietest I have heard at meets at idle and cruise. The more piping, the quieter the exuhaust generally.

I change my mind, I think the GTLW is the best sounding exhaust ever!

*I'm bias, because I just bought a GTLW

Taitec JGTC Parallel or center exhaust nothing sounds as sporty with factory cats.

Anyone running GT one V5.1 with cats?

Here is my GT-one w/cats and stock header. Not a great vid but maybe it will help a bit...

whoa...that GT One sounds nice. I had the GTLW on mine and the GTOne sounds better.

BTW, Jose you know you've got an extra 5hp from those killer wheels

5hp? It felt like 25hp!!!!! They look great on Sebring Silver.

I agree with you from inside the car. I have some video in car of the GTLW and GT-ONE that I could put together. The drone of the GTLW was pretty bad. I like the loudness just not the drowning at cruising speeds.

would love to hear this comparison..

How can I get a copy of the video that was available to watch on the very first post of this thread?

When I went to click on it to view, it says video no longer available.

Thanks for your help

Ian

The Video still shows up in the first post of this thread, but when you click on it, it then says "Sorry Video Is Unavailable".

I checked You Tube as well and could not find it.

If you find it on You Tube would you please post the link to this video.

Thanks so much.

Ian

IMO- the GTLW sound better than the GT One v5.1. I've heard both and driven behind them. The GT One is just too loud for me and does not have that deep sound that I like.

It must be on your end because I just watched them again.

hey guys,

As a newbie, I have a few questions:

1) What is the HP gain for just the GTone exhaust w/ stock headers and cats?

2) Will the sound change drastically with headers and if so what is the best one out there? HP gain with headers added?

3) Is there a sound difference between the titanium vs. SS model of the GTone? (e46 m3's with the eisenmann have different pitches between the two)

What do the GTone exhausts cost - titanium vs. SS?

thanks
rick

I can asnwer that for you..
1)Not much. Most exhaust gains 4-8 hp. Their (Gt-One) N1 exhaust gains the most power, not 5.1.

2) The only best two that I know - Fujitsubo and GT-One Headers. I know GT-One header makes more power than Comptech and makes 5.1 even louder - not sure about Fujitsubo. GT-One costs $2700 , Fujitsubo is around $2800 last time I checked. I saw both headers in person, I like the look of Fujitsubo but I like the power from GT-One header. Can't go wrong with both of them.

3)Just a little bit. You can't barely tell the difference unless you're really hear it next to each other.

Ti costs $3950 when the dollar was strong, not sure about now... SS costs $2200.
