Synthetic ATF in Automatic Transmission

Before when I had a Mitsubishi it was not recommended to use anything other than the stock ATF because of manufacturer specific friction modifiers. Looking in the service manual for newer honda's, it says that use of a Dexron III fluid is ok as a temporary solution, but must fill with Honda ATF ASAP to avoid potential problems in the long run. Now the NSX user's manual has no such statement. All it says is that I can use the Honda ATF or an equivalent Dexron II ATF. I got some sythetic redline Dexron II ATF fluid for my NSX, before flushing my transmission and filling it with the redline, I would like to see if there are any comments as to why I should or should not do this. Anything opinions, good or bad, will be greatly appreciated.

I guess why go with something different the honda ATF? What to you hope to gain? There's maybe a risk if the redline specs are not within the design tolerances. I just change mine more often to make sure it's in good shape and let my NSX tech put in what is spec'd.
