sway bars again

Isn't the stock rear bar in the 03+ models the same as Zanardi? Someone posted this... I have to find the thread. Does anyone have any idea of how the SOS, Comptech, Dali, and Type R bars compare?

Dave,

A while back, I started a thread that talked about the rear sway bar. My '02 has the larger 19mm diameter rear swaybar, but the type-s/Zanardi might have a thicker wall.

As far as reducing body roll, stiffer spring rates will do more than a sway bar could ever hope to do. The Zanardi suspension might be worth considering as it has both stiffer spring rates and it slightly lowers the car. I'm going to test a Zanardi suspension in two weeks. I'll let you know my impressions.

With stock sway and slick tires, my ride is pretty equilibrated. Perhaps a little bit understeer in slow corners. But I can eliminate it by tail braking. I have tein flex with 10f/12r springs + chassis bars.

I wouldn't put the front type-r sway bar front without a stiffer bar at the rear on my car. For you, it is dependant on your setup.

This thread was dug up out of its grave a while ago... I already have done R bar and chassis bars, I kept the stock 2005 rear sway bar, handling seems very neutral, lean is gone, there is no real oversteer. Only other change has been tires, Falken Azenis RT-615 and they stick like glue. Type R and 2005 NSX have the same rear sway bar.

Sounds like me...except I kept my '91 rear sway. lol. I haven't found a reason to swap it yet.

Should be the same rear bar for all 02+ right Dave? 04 and 05 are clones. I do remember some guy posting that their might have been a mid 02+ change as the numbers were different????

Your set up should be golden just for street driving. I can't give you direct comparison because your suspension is still mostly stock ( one thing you haven't changed yet LOL ) as to how it would do on the track. Are you going to do some laps at NSXPO?
