Suspension?

underdamped = bouncy/'springy'/riding on the spring

overdamped = "skipping" across the road, no suspension movement, 'harsh'.

Many coilovers can go from underdamped and bouncy to overdamped and cause the car to skip across the pavement.

Monoflex is much better than the Flex, but it'd be hard to compare to JIC without back to backing them. SRC's are tein's best damper but IMO isn't near the quality of damper or have the useable range of adjustment as the KW V3.

HKS Hypermax are very nice coilovers as well.

I love my 2812 except the noise, nothing comes closed... but then I haven't driven the JRZ, drove a KW v3 in an EVO ix, but then i know it could be totally different on nsx

I sold my used NA2 Type R suspension for $1,600 a few months ago. Whoever bought them scored because they were amazing. If you can find a set buy them. You won't be dissapointed... except maybe on the freeway where they're a bit harsh...

I'm another fan of the newer oem R susp.Great performance no hassle with adjustments, not too low,and pretty neutral on track.

Check SOS web site for the difference between Type R and Type S suspension systems. Also a great web site or other types of suspensions.

like i said, i had Tein RA before, and it seems like the shocks are happier the harder I adjusted it... I could not ever put it in any softer settings as it gets bouncy...

The Tein SS on my TL is the same way. The softer 1/2 of the range is useless because it is so bouncy (way more bouncy than it was stock). I've been driving with them set to full stiff for a while now after I got used to how stiff my NSX is.

I have been a fan of the Koni "Yellow" Dampers with Ground Controls. When you order the Ground Controls, you can request special spring rates. In my case, I ordered them with the NA2 NSX-R spring rates.

Pair this with a front NSX-R sway bar, you will notice that you can take corners harder, faster, and flatter.

Benefits to this setup:
- Koni's are fully adjustable for softer / stiffer ride
- Custom ride height with ground controls
- Ground controls uses Eibach springs

Essentially, a NA2 NSX-R suspension for less than 1/2 the price of the OEM NA2 NSX-R suspension setup.

What do you guys think about the Koni yellow/ ground control coilovers with custom spring rates? I know koni yellow have the life time warranty which is nice to have. It is also within my budget and is nice to be able to choose the perfect spring rate for street/track use. What spring rate would be good for mostly handling purpose. I love taking corners and wont be daily driving this car.

IMO - the Koni Yellows have too little compression/bump damping, but the have a wide range for the rebound, from extremely soft to extremely hard.

Even for the street, I'd like more compression damping. The lack of compression and too much rebound makes for an uncomfortable ride on broken up roads.

Alright, then the next step up would be the monoflex. I see it is not bad of a coilover system from the other post up top. When I look at the stats between the monoflex and nsx-r, the monoflex is a bit stiffer? I also noticed you said this, +1 INVEST in your car/suspension.

Just get the "Supa dupa mega street togue racing dampaaaa"

If I do wait for something nice I noticed you said get the KW are great. Is it a night and day difference between the monoflex?

Okay after speaking with stuntman I learned alot about suspension and what I would need for track/street. Thanks to everyone that helped.
