Support an NSX Prime member whose car was vandalized

netViper - I was actually pissed off when I read your original post about your incedent and I feel your pain. That is absolutely horrible. Although I don't have any money to spare at the moment, I can offer you some spare parts for free that I will ship to you. I have an extra set of left, right and center full taillight pieces that are in ok condition. Probably just need to be cleaned up if you want to save a couple bucks. Let me know, and best of luck with your hunt. I pray you find em...

I just donated the book. Two other individuals bid the price up that high, both presumably aware of the purpose of the sale, and they deserve to share the credit.

I've received a donation from everybody who contacted me and said they were going to send something.

Unless I hear from anyone else who wants to donate in the next day or two, we'll call it done and I'll mail the check before the end of the week.

Great job on coordinating this effort! Also, Ken - great idea with donating the book on ebay. I hope we can collectively make the best of an unfortunate situation.

Having read NetViper's posts it is clear he is not the type of individual that would attract this kind of damage on his personal merit. It is clear this act was random, and slants toward jealousy of one's tangible belongings.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the fund as well. Please post some pics of the refurbished NSX!

OK the total is over $900 after a couple more donations. Unless I hear TOMORROW (3/14/2003) that there are any other contributions on the way, I will call it complete, close it out and mail the check.

P.S. There was a slight downward adjustment for one check that was in Canadian dollars. I didn't notice that initially and had counted it as US dollars.

Hey, I remember when NetViper was dreaming about an NSX. It REALLY pisses me off to see someone desecrate his dream.
I too dream of one day owning my own NSX (fun to drive Dads, but it is still his, not mine). When my time comes I hope this little bit of good karma staves off A$$holes who would do such a thing.

This kind of effort (by NSXPrime members) reminds me of why I want to be a part of your community on my own merits someday.

Wow. I'm floored at the generosity that some of you all have exhibited! Unfortunately, I just bought my NSX last week and I can't afford to donate right now. If the chance ever arose again, I'd do it. I hope I never have the oppurtunity because that would mean a car was unfortunately vandalized, but if it occurs, e-mail me and I'll owe whoever it is one

I must say I'm impressed by this wellspring!Dave, I hope there is a way for you to prevent(or at least reduce the chance of a repeat) going forward.Let us know how the funds are allocated.Survailence and early warning seem to be the most viable,coupled with the fear of reprisal.Good luck!

I would also like to thank Lud for this effort - not only for his initiative in starting this effort and work in collecting the funds, but also for his own financial contribution, which doesn't appear in the list above. Since Lud has a premier Paypal account, he pays transaction fees whenever he collects money via Paypal. He is covering those fees himself, which is a significant amount of money contributed to the cause. Kudos to Lud. Along with everyone else who participated in this effort.
 
Late breaking update... I received a check from Dan Ho postmarked quite a while ago, but I've been out of town a lot and hadn't been checking my PO box. Dan's check is for $15 bringing the FINAL final total to $1207.50

I'll send on a follow-up check to NetViper for the additional amount.
