This thread is for keeping track of donations in support of NSX Prime member NetViper who recently had his car vandalized with paint stripper.

If you would like to help him out, please paypal to me and put "NetViper" in the subject field. If you wish to mail a check, e-mail me and I'll give you my mailing address.

I will keep a list of all contributions in this thread. By default I will list everyone's name as it comes to me via PayPal. If you wish to have your user name listed in addition to (or instead of) your real name, or if you wish to remain anonymous, please note that with your payment (I'll still list the amount).

As soon as it tapers off, I'll forward the entire amount via PayPal or write a check (whichever he prefers) to Dave for the total.

Bounty?...no need for that....I have a paint ball gun...shoots 20 rounds per sec....Wanna try it out on someone running....maybe we should try it on this culprit. I'll supply the bullets

NetViper will have to answer the question about insurance as I obviously do not know.

Certainly this is not something we NEED to do, and he isn't going to go hungry as a result of this incident. It is just, as Guus said, a way to support a member of our group who suffered a disgusting act of vandalism against the car we all love enough to spend time here.

If nothing else he can use it as a reward for information about who did this and maybe to buy a car cover to draw less attention.

I am not asking anyone to contribute. A couple people asked for a way to contribute a few bucks, so I agreed to organize it.. nothing more.
 
Hey all. I do have insurance, but I do have to pay the deductable. I am definetly going to get some kind of survalence equipment or a beater. You are all a big help. Thank you so much. It brings my faith back in people to see something like this after the horror I experienced this week.

Some of you may remember that last year I was given a copy of the NSX hardback coffee-table book that was used as the sales brochure when the NSX was first released, and was wondering what to do with it. This is the book that looks like this:

I would like to auction the book off, and donate the proceeds to Dave to help him pay the insurance deductible for this despicable act. Some time over this weekend, I will put the book up for bidding on eBay and will post the link here. The winner of the auction will receive the book AND the satisfaction of knowing that the proceeds will be going towards a worthy cause.
 
When you are ready for a new digital recorder email me at [email protected]. I have a deal on a 4 camera recorder and also have a used Sony Time Lapse recorder and used cameras. I bought some repo cameras from non payment of lease deal. I have new and used.

I did and they said that so many stores around here sell it that it would be impossible to track down. That particular store had not sold any.

Wow Ken - what a nice gesture!

To anyone who has not seen this book - it is awesome and a must have for any NSX fan. I have it here at the office on my desk and not a week goes by where I don't open it up and read a page or two. This book is getting much harder to find and I would seriously concider bidding if you don't have it now and have any intention of owning it.
