While their races may be longer than those of the JGTC, Super Taikyu cars are more street-based than their GT brethren. Where the JGTC has two calsses, the Super Taikyu League has five. Class 1 is reserved for the big dogs-cars that displace more than 3,501cc, such as Nissan's Skyline GT-R and Porsche's 911. Class 2 is the xclusive battleground for the Evo and WRX-AWD cars with less than 3,500cc. Any two-wheel-drive car with less than 3,500cc can run in Class 3, such as M3, NSX, RX-7, and 350Z. Cars with less than 2,000cc are eligible for Class 4, and the models of choice are the S2000 and the new Integra Type R. The Group N Plus Class also limits displacement to 2,000cc, however, unlike Class 4, their are no tuning restrictions. Strong competitors in this class are Toyota's Altezza and more wild versions of the ITR seen in Class 4.
