Sunday pictures of my 2004 Silverstone

some folks believe that prodrive makes a wheel that closely resembles the oem.

I agree with you, the RO_JAs look better on my car. The reason why I don't drive on them is that I don't want to have 18/19 on my car anymore. Those CE28s are very light, you can really feel the difference. At the end I still haven't found an aftermarket wheel that I like, stock 02+ wheels are more than perfect if only they made 18" rears...

Why do you have to have 18" rears? I like the stock wheels a lot that is why I have not switched mine. The rear especially with how concave it is. It may be a 17" but it looks like an 18" because of the extended spokes. When you add a lip, that will take 1" away from the look because now the spoke is shorter.

Very good point, I guess each NSX owner feels slightly different about the car. In my eyes the NSX is 99% perfect and there are minor things that bother me, which may already be perfect someone else's perspective. I see that you are researching different options on improving the stereo which I would never do since I don't belive there is any need for improvement, some other folks think that our instrument cluster is outdated but I like it a lot. They way I feel about the oem wheels is exectly the same you feel about the stereo and the other way around, it will eventually pass and I strongly belive that almost all owners will at some point want to convert their cars back to stock. This is also why I never do anything that isn't easily reversible.

So you think the 02 wheel is outdated? Because I think the factory radio sucks... LOL... but besides that, I am just tired of all these cords everywhere for the nav, the iphone, my cassette adaptor, my sound processor, and if I have a radar... it's just a mess. So my main thing was to clean that up, and save weight. Better sound is a bonus while I am doing all the work anyway.

Anyway, nice pics... you should cross post on the silverstone thread.

I don't think the 02 wheels are outdated. I love the design, I just wish they made them in 17/18 configuration. When it comes to all the other stuff it all depends what you use your car for, I only drive mine on nice evenings or weekends so I don't care about iphones or navigation systems. I have an ipod in the trunk connected instead of the factory cd changer and I couldn't be happier.

When I didn't have my car yet I watched a lot of youtube videos of random people driving the car and I absolutley fell in love with the center console layout, to me changing the factory radio would totally unacceptable.

Brylek, I think the 17/18 rs' in dark gunmetallic would look killer. light weight and looks bigger then 17/18 due to the spoke design. Let's test fit and snap some pics!

I would be very happy if we could do that :).

IDK why wheel manufacturers don't use paint effects to create effects like more concavity or longer spokes. I've seen this use in other auto areas with shades of light and dark the same "flat" piece can look REALLY curved...

Wheel manufacturers just paint one color. change the shade slowly going to the center and you can create amazing effects. My idea here would probably be revolutionary to them. Geez I shoulda pattented it first.

Great pics thanks for sharing!

I think one of the best angles for the NSX is from above - it shows the muscular rear fenders well.

Silverstone + red seats really make your car pop, black would just be ehhh ok :)

2012 update, I am back to oem wheels with 5mm spacers.

what did you do with the red seats?

Just gorgeous, so classy, did you use longer stud or your oem stud with 5 mm spacer?

Thank you very much, it means a lot to me. I didn't change the studs, this is actually the reason why I went with 5mm - I didn't want to change them.

Paul, your car is CLEAN!

Thanks, I like yours too ;)

how much do red seats go for anyways
