Sunday morning drive...(Bear Mtn and Scarsdale)

Went for a drive north this morning to get some brisk cool air and take in some Autumn sights....

Drove through Bear Mountain, then Harriman State park and ended up at the Scarsdale Concours. The Scarsdale Concours afforded a variety of vintage automobiles only to be spoiled by a white Ford GT - luckily the Ford was parked on a secluded side street so I was readily able to avoid that eyesore :smile:

Tony, those are some of your best photos to date, does Bags know about the new lens? Great seeing you today too, some beautiful cars, you didn't take a picture of my friends F40, absolutely one of the nicest examples in the US. Is that the same deer that jumped Bailey a couple of years ago, my how it's grown!!!:biggrin:

Beautiful pictures. They bring back a lot of memories for me as I grew up in Scarsdale. However, when I was there we didn't have a Concours show. Instead I would see many incredible cars in the garage's of my friends homes which were rarely seen on the road.

Surprisingly the foliage is still mostly green in most places. Didn't have enough time to check out the Ford dealership in Scarsdale...........

Can't beleive I missed this event in my backyard! I was busy dealing with after track chores after my Friday and Saturday at NJMP. Oh well next year. I didn't see an advance post as I would have had it on my radar.

Nice seeing you again Tony. This 1940 Caddy that you shot. I spoke to one of the organizers of the event and he said the original owner of the car when purchased new, was no other than Clark Gable. How cool is that?
