Summerlin NSX meet??

JUne 11th lunch??

In regards to setting up the next meeting, when do you guys want to have our lunch run? Maybe we should take a poll of when everyone is avaiable to get together.

I say June 11th would be a good date which was proposed by a fellow NSXer. Does that conflict with anyone's schedule?

I think (hope) you were referring to me. I'm all for Saturday June 11th if everyone else can. Also, my vote if for Hooters because:

1. I'm in the mood for their wings
2. It's closer
3. I think there is more spaces we can put our cars than Cheetah's but I'm not sure.

I guess me and Sandy are in. Anyone else? Hurry this might be your last chance to see Sandy should he decide to change his mind on his NSX again! :tongue: J/K!

That's right, I will be trading my NSX in for a Japanese turbocharged all wheel drive supercar. That's right; the WRX Sti. Yeah right.

Chicken wings are always good. However, there are better places for wings. We could always go to Buffalo Wild Wings at Flamingo and Hualapai. They have much better wings and plenty of parking. But they don't have the chicks in the orange 80's style shorts.

Well vegasnsx and I will be working sompthin like 12hr days 10,11 and 12. Because Netjets is holding a poker thing at the wynn that weekend maybe we can do a dinner thing. If not hope you all have fun :biggrin:
 
If you don't mind me joinning, June 11st sounds good if it isn't too early. I work until 4am the night before. Name the place and I'll try to catch up with you all.... :smile:

Ok, since Jason and Bill work late, as well as Paul, I'm willing to do dinner. Say around 6:00 pm-ish? All we need to do is decide on the place. Which will be the deciding factor: wings or legs (if you catch my drift!) :biggrin: :biggrin:

Sandy, sweet! Can't wait to see your riced up STI (with tinted windows of course! :biggrin: ) So how did you pick that over the Evo? Did you go by which car had the higher rear wing or the more obnoxious front fascia? LOL! Why not just do an STI engine swap into your NSX and figure out a way to get AWD drive. Maybe you can take out the spare tire in the front and shoehorn a differential up there! :biggrin:

The closer was the huge wing and hood scoop on the STi. The intake on the Evo hood is weak! I dig the Sti's sccop that flexes and shakes on the freeway. I also like the rear wing which gives me similar visability like the NSX. It also gives tons of downforce when you are going 190. This massive downforce is offset in front by the scoop of course. Oh, I almost forgot, there is that beautiful sounding exhaust note. It sounds like a combination of a V-twin and a 6 cylinder running on 4. :)
 
Hey, any of you guys happen to know a place that does good body work? I just got hit yesterday and am looking for some reccomendations on decent shops here.

Whoa dude, ironically I just got back from a body shop looking to do some work with my NSX. You may want to try Exoticar on S. Highland near Sahara. They do exotics and know how to work with aluminum. Also since there a Lambos, Ferraris and other high end cars, they aren't going to be intimidated by an NSX or be inclined to give it a joy ride. They looked ok, except they wouldn't do my new side skirts because they were made of fiberglass. If you plan on doing any aftermarket body work then they will probably turn you down. If you are looking to do OEM work, I think you should give them a shot. They've done several NSX's already. You may want to talk to the owner Mike Inauchii (sp??), he seems most familiar with them.

Does this mean you won't make it to the Summerlin meet on June 11th? I wanted to know more about your Comptech supercharger. I'm thinking I might get one, but wanted to know more.

Thanks for the info. Fortunately I dont actually have an NSX, or I would have had to get out and beat the other guy with a shovel. I did hear good things about Exoticar and Falconi's collision center. I wasen't sure if Exoticar just did paint work though so Im glad to hear they do body work too. Its always a good thing that they work on NSX's though, hopefully they can handle a Prelude. :wink:
 
Do not take your car to exoticar trust me horrible work and yes I know from experience paint and body works sucks! They used 2 be good but now I guess since they had their name out there they just don't give a damn anymore ask around at other body shops and you'll hear the truth try Falconi's ask for Brian
 
Thanks for the tip Kevin. I didn't know much about them so I wasn't sure, but if you have first hand knowledge that always a good thing. BTW, are you going to make it to the meet on June 11th?

ItsBetterThatWay, oh sorry I didn't know you didn't have an NSX. I think I had you confused with someone else. Sorry. :redface: But speaking of body shops, if you have a Prelude, I would consider Ultimate Collision up North (I think off of Rancho). Now this group I do have experience with and they were really, really good. They re-did my Lexus and did a nice color match (tricky metallic) and the aligned the panels up really well. They have a very new looking facility and were really really professional (reminds me of a high end dealership, unlike the dirty shops along Highland and Industrial). Drive by their shop and check them out, I think you'll see what I mean.

So does that mean you won't be able to make the NSX meet? It would still be nice to have a Prelude represent if you can make it.

Scheduling always isn't easy. Loose hair over it myself every week. Working 6pm to 2am that Saturday. If time is right, count me in.

Thanks for the reccomendations guys, trying to make sure you get good work done is a pain. I was also told to check out Simone's auto plaza. If I get my car back Ill probably be there. Im hoping they don't consider it totaled, or Im going to be looking at getting a new car. Would hate to have that happen though, as I wasen't ready to buy yet, so I may have to go with an S2K over an NSX to save a little $$. We'll see!

Ouch! That sucks. It's not too bad though, almost identical to the hit I got on my Lexus except on the complete opposite corner. Similar parts though: Light (tail for you, head for me), bumper, fender/quarter panel. My total came out to be about $3500 or so. I would suspect yours to be roughly about the same (maybe a bit higher) so I don't think it will be considered totaled since your car should be worth a lot more than that. But don't rule out an NSX. My '91 only cost me $20K total with a bunch of aftermarket stuff. That was much cheaper than I could find any S2K. Granted it had 142K miles on it and I had to pay cash and I got it for a steal, but it's in perfect condition; you should check it out if you can make the meet.

Sounds like a great car even with 142k, which is actually what my car has on it right now. Likewise I considered my car to be in excellent condition given the mileage. KBB was something around 5600, so I guess it just depends on what % the repairs have to be for State Farm to declare it totaled.

After riding in Jason's car though, Im not sure an S2K will do. How bout a lift? :biggrin:
 
I will be in town June 9-12 for a little getaway with the wifey..I'll try to do my own little getaway and meet up with you Vegas cats for a few beers :biggrin: Let me know where exactly when it is settled, I'll be staying on the strip, so hopefully not to far from there...PM me with directions if possible.
