CEL came on yesterday. Need suggestions on where to service a 2004 MDX still under extended warranty. In Philly right now and will be leaving the MDX with my daughter. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't take my car anywhere in Philly... I forget where I took my Nsx a few years ago but I remember it was over an hour drive from the city. If you can make it to Jersey there's Turnersville Acura that's 30 min over the bridge "without shore traffic that is". I'd take a Mdx there, but not a Nsx.

Thanks for your help. I took the MDX down to the Metro yesterday. Intermittent vacuum leak on diagnostic, but not present presently (sounds weird). Hopefully it will declare itself next time and we will be calling you. I have Acura Care so hopefully it will be covered. Thanks again.

Isnt Davis Acura near Philly? I think its Doylestown, but thats pretty close to the city I thought.
Bernie at Davis is on that super short list of "only let these guys work on your NSX". Including Comptech work, major repairs, etc. He's been on the list of "only go to this guy" since the very very beginning, and I believe Davis Acura in general has always gotten the thumbs up overall.

All true. Davis Acura is in Langhorne PA, northeast of Philly and just a few miles from Trenton NJ.
Yeah yeah, I forgot the name. I got a cv boot replaced by them a few years ago. Bernie didn't even touch my car I don't think. He's got his guys doing the work from what I understand... Maybe I'm wrong but I know he didn't work on my car.
Around my area I'd only take it to Larry and depending on what else this guy named Frank which helped me do a TB/WP service and Davis Acura.
I remember that dealership though had some pretty bad roads around it's spot about 3 years ago, haha.
I'm saying for a MDX Turnersville NJ is fine as well.

Agree with all of this... Larry is obviously first choice, but there can be any number of reasons why an alternate is needed. I spoke with Davis this week re: my tb/wp and asked if Bernie could work on it and the service advisor said that bernie does "all of the nsx work" and the date we found was based om berries calendar. I suspect for smaller things though, unless you specifically request, Bernie won't touch directly, but he's still there which for me, is big peace of mind.
Road wise I think it may depend on which direction you're coming from. Finding good roads around most major cities is like a zen art. :biggrin:
