<noob question>

Alright I know you all are going to flame me about this but I'm going to ask anyways.

I'm a huge NSX fan, it's my favorite car except for the F1. My question is if there is anyone in the LA (Culver City) area of Southern California who'd be willing to take me for a joy ride. I'm pretty sure that people around here with NSX's meet up from time to time. Not sure when the next meet is or how cool with that the NSX members here are, but if anyone would like to let me ride shotgun for a trip around the block or through the hills, I'd love it.

Flame away..... :D

That's not an unreasonable request at all. It's been asked before and I'm sure someone will ablige.

NSXprime members are VERY cool:D

Not silly at all. If someone posted that who was close to me, I'd gladly give them a ride.

I was visiting a friend when his neighbor came over and asked about my car... said his 14 year old son sees it parked there when I visit. I said.. "ask your son if he wants to see it up close". I gave them both the grand tour, then asked the son if he'd like to sit in it.. He said... no way... are you serious? Man.. that made his day. I smiled and said to his dad.. "when he turns 16 it's gonna cost ya".

To me, the importance of having something nice is sharing it.

Not a stupid request at all. I'm in Orange County, but if I'm ever in the L.A./Culver City area, you're more than welcome to go for a spin in my car. I've had alot of people who want to check out the car, and so long as they've behaved themselves I've always obliged. On my drive back from Texas to CA I stopped to get some gas. As I was coming back from paying for the gas I saw some tourists standing next to the car taking pictures. I opened up the door and asked if they wanted pictures of them sitting inside the car.

P.S. stop by our monthly meetings (for the Southwest region) and you'll find some good people who are more than willing to give you a ride.

Test Ride

You can always come by Buttonwillow this Friday or Big Willow next Friday to experience the full potential of the car. I'll be there on both days. Bring a helmet and you'll feel how smooth NSX runs at over 100+MPH at Button and 120+ at Big W.

Shagginjet,

NSX-antic and I will be at Big Willow on June 4 for sure. If you want to experience 110+ in turn 8, come on by.

Ry,

See you at the track.

Thats definatly not a stupid request(at least I hope not)!

Living in vegas with the upcomming shootout, I was hoping there would be someone willing to give rides also :D

I work with the Boy Scouts and I tell my scouts that when they get their Eagle award (and their license) they can drive it. Haven't scratched a wheel yet.

Great incentive woodwork!!! Glad to hear the teaching off goals and reward respect after completion.

What time you guys planning to get there? I'll be on my bike so I'll have a helmet, that's easy. Do you guys meet up somewhere and then go from there or do you all just meet up there?

Wish they'd let me take the bike on the track... I'd love to race with some NSX's.

Being an overly cautious person, how does one know if the person asking for a ride isn't some kind of nut?

No disrespect to anyone but I'm here in SoCal and I see crazies and scary folks everyday that I'm afraid to even look at let alone give a ride too.:D

^^ Good point. Good way of thinking too.

I imagine that when we meet the person will be able to tell. If anyone cares I have accounts as ShagginJet at www.hstuners.com, www.honda-tech.com, and post on the forums there. Besides that I guess they'll just have to wait to meet me before they figure it out.

See you guys there then, I'll be on an all black CBR600 F1.

Well crap.... The motorcylce isn't working. I'm going to take a look at it tonight, if I can fix it then I'll be there, otherwise thanks for the offer and I guess I'll have to wait for the next event.

I agree. With the high rate of car theft and car jackings, being cautious is better than being sorry!!
