Hey guys, i almost missed this and didn't want anyone else to.

Fellow Primer (Stuntman) Billy Johnson will be driving in the Nascar nationwide race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal tomorrow afternoon.

I have to say, that should have been a 2nd place finish. Not a big fan of the quick yellows. If it goes yellow with two to go , too bad. I know it builds drama but having guys run out of gas seems silly. It really makes no sense and makes it impossible to have a race strategy.

Billy had a great race, got a lot of air time! JV drove the wheels off his car I could not believe how he just kept pulling away from the field!

So what happened? I missed this.

Was a great race. Billy was near the front all day and was catching Villeneuve, right behind him. They would have came in 1-2 but a caution in the last few laps caused the race to go more laps then scheduled. Villeneuve and Billy were stretching their fuel so Billy had to make a pit stop and Villeneuve took the risk. Billy was able to get back up to 8th after being one of the few that pitted and Villeneuve ran out of gas on the last lap but still finished 3rd.

Honestly, i think he had something for Jacques had the caution not come out

Excellent work Billy, very impressive!

..plus the anouncers gave him the credit for setting up the winning watkins glen car...so as i could already tell from his many posts on prime he understands the physics going on and can communicate those thing to the team...thats what i like about him most, fast but also smart.

Wow I wish I had seen this.

Kind of makes me proud he owns an NSX!

Isn't he also younger than most of the other guys?

Billy had a great race but JV out drove the field all day, it was really something to see!
The was no catching Villeneuve other then runing out of fuel. It is also a crime that Billy did not get a podium finish. Crazy Nascar rules!!

Thank you guys for the support and for watching the race!

I wasn't pleased with my 9th place qualifying position. We showed during the race and practice that the car was faster than that (hopping out of the lighter and more nimble BMW M3 GT car that I drove in the Grand-Am race just prior to NNS qualifying didn't help).

We had a really fast car and planned on a 2-stop strategy from the beginning. It was hard to hold my ego back and conserve fuel for the last 15 laps or so when I was in P2 because I knew I could run down JV but the likelyhood of the track staying green to the end was very unlikely. Sure enough 2 green-white-checker restarts ensued with a spin from my teammate causing the 2nd. We were almost out of fuel but were going to risk it until they added another yellow flag lap due to a hose clamp presumably on the track which was the final straw that broke the camel's back.

It was heartbreaking to have to pull off the track from 2nd on that last restart when we had a car that I knew could win the race. The 8th place finish wasn't too bad after restarting in 20th and i'm happy we made the call because we wouldn't have made it if we stayed out.
