My 91 started to stumble a little, especially off idle...then clears up under acceleration. Then it ultimately shows a Check Engine Light...and purrs (roars)???

Check Codes, change faulty 02 sensor (s)

HTH,
LarryB

I tried to follow the DIY check codes but I did NOT find: " You are looking for a two pin connector. The plastic connector itself is bright blue.". In my 1991 NSX, I found a pink connector (unattached to anything) with six (6) wires running to it. Pictures attached.

Is this "it"? Where do I jumper?

If you notice the tag on the wires with this pink connector has the letters, "ALB" this is the connector for cycling the Anti Lock Brake circuits. Not the one you are looking for. The one you are looking for only has two wires.

Found it...shorted it, TCS light blinks!
As soon as I turn the key, I "think" I get 3 long/3 short flashes. But from then, leaving the ignition on, I get 4 long and 3 short repeated.

I do not see anything in the DIY section that refers to either 3/3 or 4/3 flashes?

I've got the same problem at present. O2 sensor data seems to be ignored once the CEL is on, default fuel map settings are used instead.

I think this code is "front O2 sensor / front fuel supply system".

The codes are listed on page 196 of the PDF service manual, and information relating to code 43 & 44 are on page 212.

If the TCS light is sending a code it will most likely be a 41-42-44-48

These are codes for the Wheel speed sensors. Please check it again.

Typically if you are having throttle hesitation it will be a rear wheel speed sensor, 44 or 48.

Sorry CEL blinking 4 long 3 short...repeating

I've got two O2 sensors on order but the write up (without any pictures) of the header change to include O2s (DIY section) is intimidating!

I couldn't find it in the repair manual.

Any suggestions?
O2s (from NTK/NGK) fixed it! Custom headers confounded the job!
