Struts for hatch/trunk

Has anyone tried to fix these? Maybe put new oil or a thicker oil in it instead of buying new ones?

And what are the balls used for?

Whats I understand the shipping charges, not a problem.. but whats with the tax? SO it cost more to ship from canada back to the US?

shipping from canada to US is cheaper than someone in US shipping to someone in Canada

I plan on sending it to frank shortly. He might even be able to fix/adjust my steering dampner for the minibike...

i just received my struts back from Frank and reinstalled them today. He did a great job. Glass hatch and trunk stay open with no problem now. I don't have to hold my trunk open with my head anymore. I love it.
