Street Racing

Not sure which is more gay, street racing or guys kissing eachother.

Either way, I guess you guys are too afraid of getting your a$$' smoked on a race track by some 19 year old kid who knows what he is doing in a car with 1/4 your horsepower.

you know guys this clip on this movie has made more sense to me now more than ever.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYTWhYiqfJY

enjoy i know i did.

Wow, that was Sooooooooooo funny!!!!!!!

Good luck against the Viper. Sounds like you'll get smoked but... hey... whatever. See the difference is all the track guys have to come over here and piss on everyones parade because they think it makes them look smart, or better or whatever.... When in reality... they should be posting in a track forum and not paying attention to us. Just like we don't pay attention to them. One day, when a descent course is within an hour of my home, and I feel like beating the piss out of my date car around a race track, I'll post over there...

You know Bio.
your the type of guy who has no life. I bet you spent all day comming up with that commet. you always have to come up with a hateful remark.
I bet your just jealous of me.

Look, I came upon this forum hoping to make some friends. Not enemies. Its not a money issue, not a popularity contest. If I did something to you or your Momma Please forgive me.
I enjoy haveing friends. I have get togethers all the time. Friends makes my life more merrier. I do what I enjoy. I enjoy street racing.

Bio, you would actually make ( a friend) and live alot happier, being a gentleman than trying to hate on poeple all the time. Be nice for once. you might make a friend.
come on, grow up...

If you live in town and asked me to hang out, I promise I would be different among all others, and be your friend. .

Also, the nearest. reputable track is about 2hours away.
It is hard for a common blue collar working man like myself, who has a family to just get up and go.
I assure you this. Rome was not built in a day so it will happen. On a last note, It took me almost 2 yrs to get my car running the way it is now. I am pleased of the outcome.
Thanks to Jessey and his guys and The guys at AEM ( tech line )
I got a fast NSX...

Oh man.....Your a total tool!

If anyone feels so strongly about what these fellows are doing and think it is wrong just report it to the proper Police Department. They have said where they are.

I guarantee that if the *********** Police are sent a link to this thread and see these videos they will make effort to put a stop to it this activity.

Don't feel good ratting out these fellows? Then shut up, look the other way and let them be.

Okay, now that we've gone past this, it's hard to imagine that there's any chance that any NSX other than a high boost car (like a FX500-750) could take a SL65. The SL can run an 11 sec. 1/4. Your guy is going to get spanked. Hope there's no $ on the line.

+1

I ran a CL65 during the summer, and got spanked from a 70mph roll.

Congratulations with the built. There is really nothing left for you to prove. Although I do think the run with SCed Viper would be interesting and entertaining. I wouldn't want to see it at expense of another prime member though. Your NSX is clearly super fast and you have already more than proven that, with a fast machine like that, be safe. I really do mean it.

you know, I have been members in a few Forums. The problem with this Forum is, Some of members here dont know when and where to put their 2cents in. They dont know the meaning of Respect for others. May our actions be wrong or right, rightous or stupid, We did no harm to you. Just because other members here dont like what they like, ( don't follow in their lifesyle ) They throw in their opinion. I graduated form Elementry School decades ago and believed that I left the name calling and sarcasm behind. You may like apples and I may like oranges, comon guys really. It is your fantsy. I am not a bad guy I dont believe. Let me enjoy my life the way I want, be it wrong or right.

Anyhow. The next contender will be a 2006 Dodge Viper Supercharged with Methonal injection. claimmed power is 760rwhp. & 800lb of tourge.
This video I promise will be better. I dont believe I will beat him, but he called me out . again this is just for the sport of it ( in my opinion ) so who cares
I like a lot of stuff you said, some of the best stuff I have read on this forum ever. Very well said IMHO, just by responding show that you care of what others think of you. Clearly show that you are a very likeable good person. I much rather people be straightforward than be a two face. You really don't need to waste time responding to comments that you find rude. While repetitive and annoying. With exception of name calling, almost all comments clearly have a good intent though.

The anti-street racing members have legitimate reasons as street racing is obviously wrong, dangerous, and illegal, but preaching over and over is a bit over kill. Once or twice is more than enough to show ones opinion. It is not like you are doing it in traffic or busy street, there are still risk involved, still wrong, but it seems as it the risk was kept to minimum and whatever happens you are responsible good or bad.

The time used to do additional preaching can be used towards doing some good deeds at where it may matters more. Why not carry out the good deed with action. Talk is easy, action is hard. Volunteering to do some public service, be a designated driver outside of bar, preach the smokers who make people inhale 2nd hand smoke, etc.

Maturity supposed to increase with age, not always the case here, sometimes people do become more uptight, sarcastic, rude, less respectful, and narrow minded as they age. Less interaction with people in real life + more time sitting in front of computer can be a terrible combination.

as usual this topic is a pissing contest.

racing is done at a racetrack- whatever you do on the street falls between idiocy and fun- you choose the extent based on your IQ.

different strokes different fokes.

whatever you do, keep it safe.

dont want to see any more of us get hurt in 2008

happy motoring

Are you seriously telling ME to grow up in one sentence and then in the next tellling me that that Street Racing is just fine? Are you seriously using the excuse that you do not have a track close enough as justification?

Do you really believe that the "gentleman" thing to do is turn a blind eye to those who willingly endanger the lives of others who are just trying to get home from school, work, dinner, the library, the daycare, the hospital with their newborn, their wedding, their parents funeral?

It is not your right to decide when and where "street racing", as you call it, is a reasonable activity. It is NEVER a reasonable activity. I will tell you what, why dont you buy another fast car, put your wife and one kid in one of them and you and the other kid take the other. Why dont you and your wife race? Does that sound rediculus to you? I sure hope it does, for you family's sake. Why you believe that the above scenario is any different from what you "enjoy" is lost on me.

I will tell you what. When you people stop being retarded, I will stop posting in street racing threads thath promote criminal acts which endanger us ALL.

And jealous of you. Right :p

Good point.

Speaking of not knowing "the meaning of Respect for others", how about endangering "other's" lives! So because someone disagrees with you, you feel "disrespected"? Whether or not you are disrespected here, engaging in activities that endanger innocent people is still wrong.

I graduated form Elementry School decades ago and believed that I left the name calling and sarcasm behind. You may like apples and I may like oranges, comon guys really. It is your fantsy. I am not a bad guy I dont believe. Let me enjoy my life the way I want, be it wrong or right.

I won't even speak to the point you make of "graduating" from Elementy (sic) School decades ago, (but perhaps you should have studied spelling a little more seriously while you were there) but as to letting you "enjoy [your] life the way [you] want, be it wrong or right", we live in a society that runs by rules and laws that don't allow people to infringe on the rights of others. You don't have the right to endanger the lives of others because you "enjoy" it.

Sheesh.

It is not your right to decide when and where "street racing", as you call it, is a reasonable activity. It is NEVER a reasonable activity.

See Bio.. this is where you are wrong. It's not up to YOU to tell other people how to drive their cars. The guy above that said "racing is done on a race track, anything else falls between idiocy and fun depending on your IQ" or something like that. He's exactly right. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and say these guys are having fun for very short stints on the highway. Your examples of street racing funerals are very off base. We're not talking about kids in riced out beaters running across town like jackasses.
You really really need a reality check. And you really need to stop crapping on everyone that doesn't agree with you. Because it's becoming more and more obvious all the time... more and more people come out of the woodwork and say they don't have a problem with a little highway pull for fun now and then. And that's really all it is. So get off the high horse Bio. When you put informative, helpful stuff on the site you are one of the best there are. I think everyone here enjoys reading almost all of your posts. But when you drop bombs like this it's really obvious that it's just opinion and not a case of right and wrong. You're kinda like the guy that sits in the fast lane at 68 mph and won't move over. Like it's up to you to regulate everyone else's speed and driving style, and fortunately or unfortunately.. it's just not.

And this really is just a pissing contest. You aren't going to stop it from happening no matter how retarded you think it is. And there are those of us who are at least mildly interested in the conversation regardless of the opinions of others... so why can't you (and by you, I don't mean just Bio Banker, I mean everyone that has to come in here and crap on everything) just leave us to our conversation? Nobody is making you click on this thread. Go to another thread where there is something you are interested in and enjoy.

Primarily because for the same reason, proponents of street challenges or sprints, show their interest in the subject matter by posting questions or comments, advocates against street challenges or sprints are entitled to responding in the same manner by posting in the thread.

I'm sure the large majority of people on this board have at one point or another, challenged or sprinted with other cars. However, with that said, with the recent death of a board member, it seems obviously a little taboo to be advocating street challenges. Although this "holier than thou" mentality can be misunderstood at times, I do sincerely believe it is the intent of these poster's to increase the level of responsibility of the members of this board. But with that said....everyone is entitled to make their own decisions, just don't be surprised if people don't sympathize in wake of an ticket, arrest, or accident as a result of street challenges.

To each his own....

I agree with that. But it is all of our responsibility to act in a socially responsible manner. Good luck getting street racing declared socially responsible. It is even illegal in places where there is NO SPEED LIMIT for crying out loud.

So get off the high horse Bio. ....... But when you drop bombs like this it's really obvious that it's just opinion and not a case of right and wrong.

I am not on a "high horse". Please do not believe that people who speak up against illegal acts that endanger the lives of people, who are unknowingly and unwillingly adopting the risk that street racers put on everyone else, are preaching from a "high horse" or any place like that. I am simply saying that I find it incomprehensible that the lives of my family are potentially in danger because two drivers "enjoy" "street racing". It is a big problem everywhere and it must be stopped. I hope I, or my car, do not end up put out (with my big wing, supercharged engine, lowered, whatever), as the cops do what they can to stop it.

You're kinda like the guy that sits in the fast lane at 68 mph and won't move over. Like it's up to you to regulate everyone else's speed and driving style, and fortunately or unfortunately.. it's just not.

Dude, that is so not me. Im the guy tailgatting and flashing that guy, or passing him on the right even. If you said "I want to go out and drive 100mph down a 55mph highway", I would not have an issue with that. I have plenty of issues with "street racing". Drive as fast as you want. I know I do. Just dont make it a competition. That is where the line is crossed between a speeding ticket and a felony.

We, do not do any grudge racing.
just for pride. If we win, I will shake my tunners hand along with
the other racer. I do believe I have a good chance.
Who in their right mind likes to get their a** handed to them.
The gentleman in that owns the mercedes is a friend of mine.
I have owned a few high horse power vehicles. 680rwhp 300zxtt.
GXR-750, honda F-4
I got bored with my Z. noticed not too many people were boosting
the nsx thought I would start a new project.
Do not always believe what the specs says.

Everyone says that, that sl was a 55 not a 65 which is a supercharged instead of a TT. And the sl65 would do better then that car did against the vette.

"I agree with that. But it is all of our responsibility to act in a socially responsible manner."

That's Fine Bio but we all know the rules. We know the laws. So you aren't bringing anything new to the table. You aren't informing anybody or teaching anything they don't know. You're simply griping. I understand where you are coming from, and I appreciate what you are trying to do. What I'm saying is that the actions of 99.9% of the people here on Prime and what you are comparing them to is over the top. Yes. It's our responsibility to act in a socially responsible manner. It's not your responsibility to blow a circuit every time somebody mentions race & street in the same sentence.

I am simply saying that I find it incomprehensible that the lives of my family are potentially in danger because two drivers "enjoy" "street racing". It is a big problem everywhere and it must be stopped.

We all find that ridiculous Bio... what you fail to understand is what these guys are doing aren't street racing like you think. This isn't fast and furious. These are educated adults, with expensive cars that I'm sure they don't want to destroy doing something stupid. And if they want to find an open stretch of highway, with no cars ahead of them (that way the lives of you and your family aren't potentially in danger AT ALL) and want to wind them up to see which one seems faster.... so be it. We're all adults.

See... that is EXACTLY what these guys ARE DOING... only it's probably in a 65 or 70mph zone. It's not a competition like you are thinking. There aren't pink slips or thousands of dollars on the line... it's just a couple of guys with fast cars wanting to see which is faster. Nobody is pushing the limit. Like I've said in a dozen of these threads, the phrase "street racing" is VERY overused. It has extremely negative connotations, understandably so. Let's just differentiate what is really happening and not try to "parent" our fellow members.
