Hi, I have a '92, my NSX has a very strange noise came from underneath of driver side dush-board. The noise is like metal hitting ,especially drive on the rough path. Does anyone has the same problem ? and what is it? and how to make that stop?
Hope you guys understand what am I trying to say.

I have a '92 also and experienced the same noise a while back.
It turned out to be a broken bracket. The dash panel that surrounds the ignition switch, (the small one below the steering wheel) has a horizontal steel crossbracket thats behind it that may be broken.
This panel is pretty easy to remove..just use an inspection mirror with a flashlight to help locate the screw heads.
I think you have to first remove the kick panel just above the brake, clutch pedals if I'm not mistaken.
The horizontal bracket gets fastened to the center console via some white fiberglas filled piece of molded plastic. This fiberglas piece was cracked in my case at the center console.
There is a very easy fix for this. Turns out, there is another metal bracket piece connected to the main dash just behind this now loose bracket right where the plastic is broken. This is most likely what is it banging around against. There is nothing behind/near this main piece, so in my case, I drilled a hole in new found bracket piece along with a slightly larger hole in initial rattling/loose piece and screwed it with a self tapping screw. It worked like a charm for me and hasn't given any problems for 6 months.
Hope this fix works for you.
Ron
