Stiff Competition to the RL

No thanks, I would prefer the RL. Better interior, SH-AWD, more luxurious, better resale, and finally POWERED BY HONDA

From what I can see, the new Infinity M45 offers an extremely competitive car for the money. I think it is actually probably a better bang for the buck, but I would have to drive both to really see.

Anyone else see this car yet?

hmmm... In the future I really want to get a hold of the current M45. I am really into it, the looks and the performance. On a test drive, it was the most fun I've ever had in a sedan ever. Also, I'm one of the few who actually likes the exterior styling. Then again, I liked the orginal Q-45 w/ the active suspension, 276hp... 15yrs ago!

The next gen' M45 seems like it's aimed at the next gen' Lexus GS. Both have similar styling cues & powerplants. The RL buyer will be from a different clique, a bit more discriminating individual who has a different taste (much like the 2nd gen' Legend buyer). I've noticed the TL buyers have been enthusiasists who embrace technology and aesthetics- not badge snobbery. And I don't even have to mention the NSX buyer...

RL, no comparison.... but I hear the infiniti will have almost 300hp and a 6 speed manual

The Infiniti already has more than 300hp! The six speed will be a new option though. My mother has the M45 and it is fast, but the handling is not as crisp as my new TL.

2 verisons for the M'.

hmmm... Infiniti's next gen' M will have 2 versions, M35 and M45. The former will share the G35's powerplant while the latter will share the Q45's. Projected power is 335bhp for the V8 version :D

(Lexus's next gen' GS will continue w/ it's current 2 models (V6 and V8 models... however they don't share a platform w/ the anyother cars in Toyota's lineup whereas the M will share a G35 platform <albeit a bit lengthened; and recall the G35 platform is shared w/ the 350Z platform, lol.)
