I heard some things about that parking lot, something about its full of custom cars and what not. But I was wondering if anyone is intrested in going there....I don't know what time...does anyone know what a good time to go is? Better yet when we get there.....

not anymore!

hi,
is tommy here, we've met at the Galveston drive! i am the one with the blk nsx and the body kit! post oak used to be the hot spot but not anymore!! now is pretty lame!! not worth it if you ask me, not too many car show up there! security will kick people out the their parking lot if you stay too long!

i am going to austin this weekend! (family gathering!)
but i will check with my s2000 buddies and see where's the import guys and ricers are meeting these day! do you mind hanging out w/ ricers?

 Ricers!?! j/k What about the Starbucks down the street at Fountain View and Westheimer? No security(I don't think). Still on the main part of Westheimer and no racers hang out there(which is a big plus). We could buy some Starbucks and hangout. If po po's show up, Rick to the rescue!! :D j/k If they show up, if we are paying customers of Starbucks, what could they do?(no seriously, what could they do, cuz I really dont know?) :D

Family?!?! I thought we were your family bro!!!!! :o :D

yes, you guys are...

yep, you guys are family too!!!

about starbuck, my point is there's no reason for us to stand around in the middle of the parking lot and just hang out and wait for the security person to come kick us out! the question is how many cup of coffee are you planning to buy or drink? they want us out of their lot after we done buying and drinking...! and that's what they do, did and done in the past and present! no fun!! (ask me how i and my fellow s2000 owners know!)

Point taken. Where can we go and not get harrased? anyone have some ideas?

I WANNA PLAY!!!....WHERE THE HELL CAN WE PLAY!! I say we have about 10 cups of coffee. I think as long as we don't rev our engines we'll be fine. NO?

New Location

Though I have not been there, a fellow gearhead tells me the place to go Saturday nights is a dyno shop on 1093 (Westheimer) west of Hwy 6. I'm guessing it is about four or five miles west of Hwy 6. There are two new strip centers next to each other. One is a Harley Davidson / Easy Rider outlet and the other one has the dyno shop. I think the name is RSI (Racing Solutions, Inc.). My understanding is that because this location is not in the middle of Houston's "night life" there are no security guys running you off. The parking is concrete and vast, though of the top of my head I don't know about lighting, because I've only been there during the day. However, if cars go there, one would presume there are overhead lights.

There are however Fort Bend Sherriff running up and down that area of Westheimer, especially on Saturday nights. Ask me how I know! :P Most of those guys are looking to race or watch races anyways. I don't think that's where I want to be in the law shows up. If we find somewhere to just hang out and chat, like a Starbucks, we would probably just get thrown out at worst. Participating in a race/ watching a race is cause for a greater penalty.

This place is outside of their jurisdiction. Their jurisdiction begins a couple of miles further west at FM 1494 (or is it 1464?) where there is a Shell station at that red-light intersection.

Participating in a race is cause for a greater penalty.

Then don't race. My understanding is that crowd generally does not condone street racing. They are more mature and just like to hang out in the parking lot.

My mistake, Harris County sheriffs! I was thinking Fort Bend since I was on my way out the door when typing to go to court in Fort Bend due to a Fort Bend sheriff. :(

Anyways, my personal preference is to stay away from that place. I don't think the police will go the extreme of arresting anyone after the Kmart fiasco for hanging out, but from what I've heard, tickets can be issued. Even if you are not racing, but happened to be observing. And from my personal experience, there are races. I've been there, not my cup of tea. ;)

Everyone, I'd rather find a common spot on Westheimer where the NSX guys can just meet and hangout. Not that everyone else is not welcome, I just dont think we should have a huge gathering where the police would raid. Just my 2 cents. :)

Hey andy, RSI, I've been there cause there are those bars next to it (thursday pudding wrestiling). RSI is some BIG boys. ZO7, crazy vipers, crazy american muscle, which nothing is wrong with that, its just not an nsx. But if anything we could drive by there and see then go to starbucks? And by the way there is lighting by the parking lot isn't that big.

Personally, I think all you Houston boys need to come to Austin and hang out with me this Saturday so you can teach me everything I need to know about my new car =)
A few of us are planning to meet at I35 & Braker Ln- Harley Davidson parking lot around 12-1. We could cruise down the road to my office complex lot (which will be completely empty & safe) if we want a place to hang without getting hassled. Besides, If anything were to happen, I'm pretty confident in my ability to charm, I mean respectfully handle/clear up any "misunderstandings".
It's just a quick jaunt from Houston to here...it'd be so awesome to meet the TX crew. So what do you think? Was I convincing? Any takers??

Alright!!!!!!!!!!! I'm there! :D j/k

Actually, that's a great idea. I'd like to have another mini NSXTEXPO where the Houston, Austin, Dallas, and surrounding areas meet up.
How about at Texas World Speedway in November for the Drivers Edge event? I think that would be a good place to gather. :)

Sounds like a plan. Let's shoot out some emails tomorrow and see how many Houston guy's we can round up!
And if you swing by Autologic, give me a call. I work 2 blocks away from the shop, I get out between 5:30 and 6:00. And sorry about not answering the email, I can't access my hotmail account when I'm at work for some reason, so I didn't get the email until I got all the way home.
