man... diablo 2 was awesome =o, i admit i was a lame Whirlwind Barbarian (aka i just hold the button down and kill everything on the screen) with like 8% life/mana steal doing 1200 damage per whirlwind tick... .ah.... that game was great...

WW barb was my first character and was one of my favorites. i think my absolute fav was the amazon. between guided arrow and multishot, it was a killing machine. i started experimenting with lightning sorcs which were also a lot of fun. i played a zookeeper necro, not so fun and i never got into the whole druid or assassin characters.

so, WW barbs... hardly lame, tons of fun, especially once they had mega-lances.

i'm starting to get the joneses just talking about it. that's sick.

haha i guess i thought the barb was overpowerd (even after the first nerf patch) when i killed diablo on difficulty level HELL without getting hit once,
i did about 4 whirlwind passes with frozen attack and he basically stood still the whole time cuz he couldnt move. haha i thought i was the man until i tried to kill my friend's paladin who had thorns on... its bad when you do 6000 damage per whirlwind... and it gets reflected back on you LOL

I just recently got back from a vacation in S. Korea and that is still the #1 most played game out. I went into 10-15 different PC Bangs and everyone was still playing BW I was amazed.
