So I’m in contact with a manufacturer to make a wheel but I don’t know what specs I should use because I want a deeper lip but I don’t want it to be too big.

I want type-S zero rims but with a lip so I sent two wheels as reference.

So I sent this as the design for the actual rim and then I sent this for the lip.

They said it wouldn’t be possible with the NSX.

Does anyone know what wheel specs I could give them so it would fit?

Take a look at the specs for the Blitz type 03 in nsx fitment, we have discussed it in the past, for my 96 I still needed a 5 mm spacer to clear the caliper.

It will be tough to get a big lip for the fronts. Send them a caliper template if you can. If you have a bbk, you can probably find a 1:1 template on the internet for clearance. Generally stock body limits are

F: 17x8+33
R: 18x9.5+22

Wider wheels will change offsets, so front 17x8.5+40, 17x9+47 will be similar in caliper to fender clearance.

You can fudge a couple mm here and there and you can get more offset under there with camber, rolling your fenders, and more stretched tires

I’m not totally sure what the specs are, but this is probably max front lip you will be able to get on a stock body car:

I ran a 17/18 set.

The higher the offset the more tword the centerline of the car the wheel will go......says Yoda...
