Hello fellow NSX'ers,

I need 2 or 3 volunteers...

As of today, we have some 70, count'em, 70! NSX owners that have expressed intent on joining our special marque event at the Irvine Cars & Coffee on Saturday, Jan. 31 beginning at 6-6:30 AM. I've been keeping my C&C contact updated on our growing attendee list. She shares our excitement as well in what will be an amazing assembly of Honda supercars.

At my request, she reserved a huge area of the Ford facility parking lot (where the C&C display cars park) just for us. Attached is a map showing our reserved parking areas in yellow.

I need two or three volunteers in addition to myself that can help direct the NSX group to the right parking areas as they arrive. These parking enforcement folks will also keep other cars out of our designated areas. I planned on being part of the parade group, but will make the sacrifice to help organize things. Anyone willing to be there early (before 6:30 AM) and help out is appreciated. I need 2 or 3 reliable men/women. Thanks!

This is to repeat my request for 2 or 3 volunteers to arrive at around 6:15 AM for some parking control. Our designated parking areas will be coned-off. However, there will be a need to both direct NSX traffic to these areas as well as politely keeping other cars out. This means arriving no later than 6:15 and not participating in the pre-stage gathering and arriving parade style- a sacrifice I will be making.

Ideal would be for some non-drivers coming to this event with drivers that are willing to volunteer for this help. This is also an opportunity for volunteers who want to focus on taking pictures as the NSXs arrive in groups and individually. We also have the post event breakfast road trip for those who have not seen that thread I posted. I'm sure there are a couple of locals willing to help with this event coordination. With three weeks to go, it would be nice to secure some volunteers. Thanks!

Hey Danny. Nice of you to volunteer to help. Aren't you coming in from Las Vegas along with a few others? If so, wouldn't this create a potential problem for you? Also, anyone driving from out-of-town and especially out-of-state as you may be doing is already going the extra mile (hmmm... pun intended) simply by showing up. Don't get me wrong. Anyone willing to help out is welcome. I just think a few locals can show a little hospitality to those who will be driving mucho miles.

Hi everyone. An impressive attendee list so far, yes? Just a couple of things to pass along...

First, I STILL need a couple of you to volunteer to help with the parking and directing traffic. I took a little heat from a senior C&C organizer (he works at Ford) due to the size of our group. His concern is to avoid having to turn anyone away who wants to show their car due to the lot being full. Our huge group may lead to that possibility. So, I agreed to utilize a stack parking strategy in case we overrun the large parking area already allocated to us. Our growing attendee list will likely require us to do that so our group can park in the same vicinity. This will only increase the need for two of you to help me with that. So, in addition to Danny, the only one who agreed to help (so far) and who is driving all the way from Las Vegas, who else is willing to help?

Next, I can't mention any details, but there is going to be a surpise for us. Don't expect too much, but my effort to contact a few folks paid off. So, we'll see.

Lastly, a huge NSX turnout is obviously fun for us. It will also be an impressive sight for non-NSX owners and spectators. However, it may look like an intrusion to some, an NSX parking lot. We may be the last marque event without limits at Cars & Coffee. So, a little humility won't hurt.

Please refer to all the details I posted on the first page and posting of this event. If you intend to join in the fun with your NSX, I suggest arriving NLT 6:30 AM.
