Do you need DPs to run the Stage 2 tune or is it sufficient to just be running 100 oct? I know I wouldn't get the full benefit but just curious and wanted to test out the stage 2 tune.
You do not need down pipes to run stage 1or2, but you wouldn't be getting the full bang for buck unless you do HD Down Pipes as well.Do you need DPs to run the Stage 2 tune or is it sufficient to just be running 100 oct? Funny …I found that out quick …car spinned on me from 2 to 3E40 tune uploaded to K Tuner. Awaiting E monitoring kit before uploading to NSX. Definitely going to need new tires now.
@Ignition_Key I saw your DPs for sale, did you upgrade to HDs?
Are you getting the upgraded Turbos? My HDs should be here next week - still not so sure about loosing my valves but I'm committed now!
So what happened was.....Are you getting the upgraded Turbos?
Totally makes SENSE... Removing the exhaust and upgrading to a lightweight battery will save you total about 60-70lb so well worth the upgrade. Trust me you will not miss those valves...So what happened was.....
The plan started with just sport DPs, then it became "well since you're already right by the turbos" which naturally went to "if you're upgrading turbos, why would you not want max performance"
@drmanny3 joked about lightening up exhaust and battery weight in the wheel thread but I suppose that's where I'm really headed at this point - you know because I saved on labor costs by doing the above mods together
I'm going to assume you meant valves! (Time will tell whether what I'm doing will hurt/help the value )Totally makes SENSE... Removing the exhaust and upgrading to a lightweight battery will save you total about 60-70lb so well worth the upgrade. Trust me you will not miss those values...
Your prompt response to me in your original thread mulling which way to go pushed me over the edge, unfortunately that was the gateway to more questionable decisions.FWIW, I've gotten so used to the valve less exhaust, it sounds kinda quiet and almost factory, Truly marginally louder.

@prestonmay3 Believe it or not, I'm probably going the dealer route - the Service Manager and I have spoken at length and he currently employs 2 NSX certified techs. They're collectively excited as apparently there's only 2 NSXs in my area with the other owner allegedly relegating it to a museum piece.
Never tell your wife car part/install prices just like she never tells you what her shoes or bags really cost.Acuraland here in Metro Atlanta Quoted me 5200 to install the TURBOS - They went OFF a repair they did 2 years ago on a person 2018 - My wife will say you want to spend what on what to make what faster - LMAO - The Service Manager says he maybe able to work it out to be a bit cheaper - May get an INDY shop quote also
