Sorry I could not help myself. I did win though

If theres one thing I've learned in the 2 years of being here is not to post any of my "spirited" street driving events on here. While I rarely do anything highly dangerous on the street, I don't want the criticizem that comes after posting it.

It's also very easy to forget those members children who were innocently killed by a street racer. If that isn't a deterrent I don't know what is.

You serious Doug? You never burned out in the nsx? That's crazy since you live in the middle of SF. I was in SF on Saturday and I pretty much left tire smoke at every single steep hill I had to stop on because it's near impossible to slip my clutch without excessive wear and tear. I couldn't help it though lol.

LOL I know what you mean David. I'll drive blocks out of my way to avoid certain intersections. I try to use streets with stop lights rather than stop signs, etc. And, as you know I live at the top of one of the highest hills in San Francisco. It's a challenge. When you move to the hood, we'll go on some drives.

DOC L, The road was wide open NO nothing no kids dogs rats or cars.Just the NSX and the bikes BEHIND me. Its was fun and if I get the chance on another open road I would do the same. Lets talk about the cars NOT what one person thinks the other person should do.:)

I think everyone has done something similar to this when they first drive the car. For the new owners I think it's morbid curiosity. For the existing owners, it's recklessness. I think everyone is trying to say be careful, that's all. I don't think we want to see any NSX owners getting injured.

If you were impressed with the NSX at 70mph in 5th gear, you would be like this  if you downshifted to 3rd and floored it--on a race track of course.

even on closed events and specified tracks with NO other cars around, sanctioned racing with all precautions taken, cars with the best drivers still crash. just too many variables going at that speed. you were going 140, not 80 or even 100 mph on an "open" road. atleast on the track, there are barriers, safety/emergency personnel and you are equipped with necessary racing protection gear. it makes me uneasy visualizing what you just described knowing your wife is in the car with you and 2 boneheads on bikes nearby.

ive witnessed street racing myself in the early morning hours on the freeway before dawn. one car lost control on a straight with nobody else around for miles doing several 360s on a 6 lane freeway before ramming into the wall. the other car just kept going. i was probably cruising at 70 and these two hondas flew by me as if i was doing 30.

if you're gonna post your exploits on an open public forum, just be prepared for opposing thoughts. i dont think theres anything high and mighty in my opinion. if you check my first post above, i dont even mention the NSX. it has nothing to do with what car you are driving, wether it be this beauty you just bought or your mom's camry. just exercise some discipline nextime, especially with the wife inside.

on a sidenote, your NSX is GORGEOUS.

OK I see your point!! and Everyone elses point! Thanks I love the car.NO one thinks its a 92. Most think it is a year old. IM very lucky to find one that has been cared for as this car was.My next mission is to clean EVERY inch of the suspension and underbody. Not that it is all that bad but it can come back to new with a little help. Oh yes, Dtrigg Now I know what your Flame suit line was for. WOW. lol

Thats probably my favorite part of the car. And knowing that I can drive it for a week and never see another one.

I AGREE!! Strange how people dont even seem to know this car was built.Just about everyone that looks at it has never seen one. It is a good thing though:)
