Sonic's 2001 Circuit Blue NSX

Hi Bas,

17x8.0 +44 Front
18x9.5 +40 Rear

Brake clearance is very good. I tried the SOS stoptech template on them and they both cleared front and rear. They are having a colour change as we speak.

The rims or the stoptechs?

They will look much better and I think will really bring this NSX alive ... very similar visual upgrades to my own ... now repeat this thread for the UK forum ;o)

looking good man, to answer your question I would use aftermarket gaskets for the headers, I used OEM on a header install and I heard leaks during driving changed to an thicker aftermarket gasket and sound was gone. the OEM is to thin in my book.

I am OEM all the way but this is one of the few things I will def go aftermarket.

also you may need to shave or grind off a thick metal tab on the transmission its not used for anything but a header install i did the brand was welded a certain way that this tab on the tran would not let the headers sit flush on the block.

just my 2 cents

what was your goal/purpose for swapping 2001 OEM headers for the taitec?

Got new tires and decals fitted this week. Went with Hankook V12 Evo, this was one of the few tires i could get in both these sizes and was also the best rated.

Hope to have these installed this week, will have to make another vid for the sound!

Just a few questions - Will i need new gaskets for the headers? And also regarding the KW's are these pre-set for my car from the factory? E.g. when installed will they all be the same ride height and bump/rebound setting's correct?

Hi Luke

Great write up and beautiful NSX.
Are you getting rid off your Seibon rear valance?

You should log on to NSXCB as a guest and get Senninha (Paul) to get you full access

SS

Luke, send a pm to myself and NSXGB with the email address you wish to register and we should sort access for you

Really like the build, be good to get it recorded for the UK owners that don't visit here ....

Regards, Paul

Love the stance, what ride height did you put the KW's on?

regards Bas

That looks fantastic! Well done mate. We share very similar taste in modifications, I am at the same point as you were regarding seibon vs OEM rear valance..

Who did you buy it from in the end?

Looking so much better with the Starbright silver, really pops now

Nicely done.

Sonic - This build is off the charts when we could actually see the entries.
