I come out this morning from spending the night at my GF's and there is egg on the windsheild of the car. I was PISSED. Anyway, I got it all off, but man I am still furious. If I find these stupid kids who did this, they are not going to be pleased with me.

Anyone else have that happen?

No way!!! That is horrible. For the love of pete, why do punks have to mess with someones ride rather than the person. I guess because the car can't fight back and they are too childish to do anything else. Jealousy also plays a major role in that kind of behavior. 'If I can't have a nice car like that then you won't either' type of attitude.
Good luck at finding the scum that did that to your baby!!!

Net,I understand how pissed you are.the DAY I got mine took her for a cruise to the beach and their were some 10 year olds in the bushs that were using sling shots to launch the eggs.got hit so hard with a raw egg the impact popped my left side front turn signal out of the slot.tore up the paint and left a mark the size of an egg with a comet like trail.the egg shell acted like an abrasive and serrated that area.Yeah I know about egg PISSED OFF.check out the photo I privated you.sorry to hear it.the most amazing thing about is that it did ruin the paint job for that area.the aluminum is rough and needs to be worked BUT not the slightest sign of a dent.I think because it impacted on the curve bevel of the panel

This is sick.

BadCarma, was there anything you can do? Did you speak with the kids and/or their parents?

Sorry to hear about that!!

I am going to be alerting the apartment manager.. not that it will do any good. And if it happens again, I will call the police.

In the meantime, I will steak out the car and if i see those little bastards, I will ... well.. I am not quite sure just yet..

It's happened once to me before at my current house; I have to park the NSX in the street (but the 1995 T/A goes in the garage). Luckily it didn't seem to affect the finish. I know how much it sucks to see it happen, but at least it was on the windshield. :

Back when I had a 911, I was stopped at a red light with the windows down and the sunroof open, on the Fourth of July. Next thing I know five M-80 fireworks came raining down from a roof top at me. Aren't four equal to a stick of TNT?

I am lucky. My wife lets me park both my Acuras in the garage. My NSX and GS-R. Her 2001 Mustang sits outside.
Now that I have the Basch charger on it I will probably put the engine cover back on to stop the curious eyes from seeing all the polished aluminum parts I have on there. Just sucks that you can't have something nice without fear of someone doing something down right rotten to you.

I got an idea... Draw a target with a red bull's eye in the middle on the wind shield... Wait no, I don't think that would help...

thats why its always good to have a beater....ive very seldomly left my car in un familiar territory and when driving thru the less fortunate areas of town i take caution ....i make sure im always aware of my surroundings also you never know if our cars are targets for car jackers.

Interesting topic,

Sorry to hear your NSX got egged.

In the last 2 years, i had quiet a few incidents happen to me.
Before i bought my NSX people told me about other people who are sick with jealousy, and will do anything to you or your car.
I didn't believe it. There are no people like that.....

Now i now better. It's just unbelievable the things people do to you, just because you own something special....
I tried to stop one (guy about 40 years old, on his push-bike), to ask why he was doing what he was doing. Never got a reply from him.

In dutch we call them 'klootzak'. 8D

Net viper, when did this happen to you? I was having a beer on sunday 23rd night with my friends for a couple of hours when this happened to me. I came outside about about 1:30am and saw this splat on my driver's window with pieces of egg shells. Although there were runs on the paint there were no permanent damage to the car only to me!!
Got to tell you, I was pretty disturbed to the fact why someone would do that.

It happened to me night of the 22nd. I came out and there was an egg smashed on my windsheild and made a huge mess. It didnt really get the paint, so I guess I was lucky. But damn, why hurt someone elses cool ride?? Makes no sense to me at all. Stupid kids.

just curious, how big is Monroe, La? Is it a Harley and Camaro town? I've experienced similar problems in small town Iowa.

Monroe, Louisiana is a little hick town. We have about 147,762 people at most between Monroe and West-Monroe. ( The twin cities). Median House hold income is $27,850 and per capita income is 18,690. It is pretty pathetic.

The town is full of redneck's that drive trucks and could care less about dinging your door in the parking lot.

One day I will escape here!

That's too big to be a little hick town. A big hick town, maybe.

A Quote about my car today.

Someone asked this guy "Did you park next to that acura looking thingy"...

Oh yes ken.. a big hick town indeed

That kind of stuff really sucks. I've had mine spit on before. Driver's side window. I've been a little more cautious about where I park it since then.

If people knew the sacrifice some of us make to have an NSX they wouldn't do crap like that. I just think everyone assumes you're spoiled and don't deserve to have a car like an NSX. Even if you are rich, which I am not, most likely these days you had to work your butt off for it. Seriously, how many people out there with "old money" are buying NSXs? Probably not many. I don't understand people. It really is too bad.

Yeah I know what you mean. I worked for 10 yrs at my job dreaming and researching and studying the NSX knowing someday I would own one. I am blessed to be able to have one and a wife that let's me enjoy it!!
Bummer people just don't get it.

I drove my friend to the LA Auto show earlier this year in my Zanardi, parked in a secluded spot on the first floor, across the entrance/exit booths where 2 parking attendants were on guard, and took up 2 parking spaces. We came back 1 hour later to find 3 inch long key marks my left side view mirror. Ouch! Well, at least the jerk was *kind* enough NOT to key the entire left flank! I guess you can say that I was *sorta* lucky. Nowadays I only drive it around town but avoid parking my cars in public places, even at places where they hire guards, since most of these guys don't even give a hoot about your car getting scratched up by juvenile punks anyway.

From now on until at least 4 weeks after 7/4 I'll keep my top and windows up whenever I'm driving in my stook (s2000).
Thanks for sharing your stories.

Nawh, there are too many looneys out there to even care whether or not you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth. Esp. if you live in LA like I do. The thought of you busting your chops to get your dream car probably crosses some of these morons' minds before they committed the act, but they'd still do it anyway because they just don't care how hard you worked to get it. To these jerks, all that matter to them is that you have what they can NEVER have because they're bunch of losers. *sigh*

My advice to you is to get yourself a beater if you don't have one, and don't park your NSX on the street or public parking lots.

Taking up two parking spaces - even in the furthest reaches of a parking lot - encourages vandalism, IMHO.
