The upper half interior panels were stained black to match the rest of the car. I've always prefered the black roof trim panels to the grey on the earlier cars.

Looks great! I was wondering about that myself a couple of weeks ago, why did Honda paint the roofs black and make the interior roof headliner light-grey? Then "half black"? hehe

Looks good...

I think the 'grey' shows dirt/dust a little less, not that there is any

What is that harness bar ?? Is it also a rollbar? What is that member that comes down from the C-pillar ?

Interesting choices in CF finish -- some painted (rear valance, side winglets), others left with polished clearcoat (hood, side scoops, wing, gas filler cap door). Was it difficult to paint the diffuser ??

Hi Manuel --

The rollbar is from Comptech. It is a very well designed part. If you may remember, I had a custom one done, but was not happy with the work or the result of putting the runners down to the rear strut towers. The system has very good height and good clearance. It is, hwoever, very heavy from the large diameter pipe used. It also has it's limitations. The bars running down the side are meant for use with the stock seats, and the Recaros interfere by about 5-10 mm. I'm working on some modifications now.

The diffuser was very easy to paint. Like most composites, priming, sanding, and finishing are key to avoide pin holes in the finish.

Interesting... IIRC, the Ferrari F40 paint was deliberately rough (at least they claim it is), allowing the natural weave of the underlying CF to show through.

Also true on the new NSX-R --> see http://world.honda.com/NSX/technology/t3.html

"For the front hood in particular, paint has been applied so as to let the roughness of the carbon fiber surface show through ever so slightly."

The F40 and I would presume the NSX-R hood are manufactured by method of dry carbon fiber. The resin is literally sucked out of the composite fiber reducing bulk and minimizing weight, resulting in the weave of the fiber showing on the surface.

Looks great Chris! I haven't really ever been fond of aftermarket wings for the NSX but yours looks good.
