We'll probably want to meet at the OC gathering point by around 9:30 or 9:45 so that we can get on the road before 10:00AM, just to play it safe with that 11:00AM Hesperia meeting time....
We'll meet at Hesperia at 11:00am. The SoCal Legends are planning to meet us there as well.
...
I'm pretty much at my gas tank's limit when I drive to LV, so I usually get gas at the Barstow outlet area, just to play it safe. However, since we're stopped at Hesperia, we should probably top off there, and then wait to fill back up when we get into LV, where gas is much cheaper.Any suggestions on gas stations along the way?
Looking up google maps, it shows only Barstow (64 miles south Baker) and Jean, NV (50 miles north of Baker) as the closest alternatives.
Yup. I won't be meeting up with you guys in OC (since I'm up in LA), but will be heading out to Hesperia at about 10:00 as well. It'll probably get me there by 10:45am if all goes well. We'll probably want to meet at the OC gathering point by around 9:30 or 9:45 so that we can be back on the road before 10:00AM, just to play it safe with that 11:00AM Hesperia meeting time.
Fill up before you leave town. 270 miles will not require a gas stop in between, unless you are red lining your SC motor all the way to Vegas.
Oh, I will certainly fill up before leaving. But if I don't get gas at some point during the trip, with much of it going uphill, I'll be at the limits of my cruising range, and I don't want to take the chance at running out.Fill up before you leave town. 270 miles will not require a gas stop in between, unless you are red lining your SC motor all the way to Vegas.

NSX-R gears + 4.55 R&P = owns me.
If I can make it with you guys, I will also bring my club radio. But it is still up in the air if I can get Friday off too.
Hey, do you want to leave Corona and cruise up to Hesperia together?
I plan on leaving Irvine at 9:45. Please let me know if you'd like to ride out to Hesperia with me. It is around 76 miles ride from Irvine to Hesperia.
I'm in. I'll be getting in touch with you to find out where's the best spot to hook up with you near Orange along your route.

Randy, where are you leaving from in Orange, I''m coming down Santiago Canyon Road to the 241. Gil
You guys should meet at the Chevron Station on Jamboree and Santiago Canyon. Then get on the 241 Toll Rd.. This is a central location for the 3 of you.
Just my $.02
9:30 shouldn't be a problem for me. I'll see you there at that time.Just to confirm, who is meeting at the Chevron station? And is it 9:30 AM as the meeting time? Thanks, Gil

Are there any NSXs here coming up all the way from San Diego? I'm quite a bit farther south from the other SoCal Legends so I figured it would be better to just take the 15N all the way up and meet them in Hesperia. Going up the 5N from here would be begging for trouble.
I'd love to have a road buddy all the way up to Hesperia if anyone else is coming up from San Diego (La Jolla, specifically).
Just about two days to go, everyone.
Don't forget that the SoCal cars will converge at the In-N-Out in Hesperia (In-N-Out Burger
13704 Main St., Hesperia, CA) at 11:00am. We are set to depart by 11:45am (for the sake of everyone, please don't be late).
We will stop by at Baker briefly to hook-up with the NorCal Legend Caravan for the drive into Las Vegas.
It might also be helpful also to list your name here if you plan to be at In-N-Out in Hesperia for the caravan so that we know whom to expect.
Bring your radios.
