The Koenigsegg CCR is coming to the U.S.. Who's gonna get one?

I'm excited to start spotting them on the road.

So, how long do you think it will be before it reaches the $30k to $40k range so that I can buy one.

What a shame that 15yrs ago, Mclaren_F1 curtailed anticipated final production due to lack of a sizable market for exotic-supercars (ie. XJ220, F40/F50, EB110, 959, etc'...). Current times have shown otherwise, such a niche' has been acknowledged and seems to be growing. New offerings, including: Pagani Zonda, Carrera_GT, SLR, Murcielago, Enzo, Saleen_S7, Veyron, Koenigsegg CCR/CCX, and others forthcoming have shown half-a-mill' to a mill' cars do have a market.

Oh, my point... it'd be nice if there were more than a hundred or so F1's!

Message to tuner-fabricators... make a Koenigsegg door-kit for the NSX/JGTC-widebody! :tongue:

The article says that there is already a 9 month waiting period and the first one isn't even done yet. Where do you buy them at? Where are people placing their orders? Are they buying them directly from the manufacturer?

Idar Vollvik a norwegian investor is getting his second Koenigsegg.

He had a yellow CCR which he gave away to charity.Now I think he bought the first new CCX which he will get end of summer if I am not mistaken.

It will set him back about 1088359$.

According the the Koenigsegg website, the information for sales in the US still shows the manufacturer as the point of contact. The only other information that I could find was this: http://www.koenigseggab.com/koenigsegg/

As soon as the car hits a pole at 160 MPH. 20 to 30k should be able to buy you the front or back half.

I'm 99% sure it's manual. Not automatic/sequential.
