Interior stuff

Unfortunately, some one tried to scam me on a pair of Type R seats, so that will have to wait... for a while. Perhaps Status Seats will do...

"H" conversions: Front and Rear Red Emplem, Airbag, cassette door, Type R Door Emplem, Door Sills, and Engine Manifold Cover and Plate, Type R Shift Knob and Boot.

The red wasn't an optional interior color was it?

Yes it is. There were 9 sold in the US with this option between 2002 to 2005.

Hot. I noticed the seat cushion was tweed/cloth whatever. Probably more supportive than the all leather versions.

so far, so good...

Vancehu/Vance, looks great. I like the originality of Berlina black w/ NSX-R details!

Just a random thought... have you considered those Ebay/replica CF 'H' emblems? A CF 'H' one for the hood, and maybe a larger OEM chrome 'H' for the rear center tail-light? The JDM-Honda emblems just don't seem befitting a NSX, well w/ your other tasteful/selective mod's.

Also, the Berlina black & CF-parts would be complimented w/ JDM-type tail-lights... maybe Bluebatman's overlays?

I look fwd to seeing the final pics, you have some great parts coming in. Make sure to make some sound-clips of the GT-ONE F1 exhaust.

Re: so far, so good...

I was looking at those, Yahoo aucton Japan has real JDM one that will not change color after a period of time, I'm trying to find out who make them.

Thanks

Vance from the research I have done, your mesh engine cover and CTSC are not compatible. Once you install the CTSC you will have to change that cover. This is what Comptech told me.

RyanITV sold me the cover, and he had both mesh and CTSC installed at one time. The JDM mesh cover require different hindges.

And your targa still fits?

Looks great Vance. I had the red interior on my first S2000 (a 2001 Silverstone and Red) and I loved it. It's unique.

Be careful with fading as some S2000 owners who commonly drive top down have said that the red interior (esp. the carpets) tend to turn almost pink after a lot of unprotected sun exposure.

Keep us in the loop. I hope to see that beauty on the roads.

That is going to look SO good when finished. Are you going to paint the lights white also? Red Recaro Pole Positions are a good alternative to real type r seats.

NSX-R DNA being watered down...

Lookin Good! Any plans on swapping out the gauges to white ones? Are the Type-R's white?

Here's what the NSX-R / JDM NSX Type-R driver's instrament console looks like:

Luminescent yellow-needles seemed to be novel, but other Honda Type-R's have employed them in recent past. Likewise for the CF speedo/tach. gauges.

Shift-LED is something I'd personally like to have!

Black on red is so hot. I can't wait to get my interior redone. I'm considering carpeting also, but I wanted to see the real thing first.

Maybe I will have time to stop by the Southcoast Acura meet for a little while. I have to leave the house at 10pm so we will see.

Oops! that's what I meant! I must have been thinking of the white headlights. Yeah, that shift light is pretty sweet.

I found a place that will do the Type R gauge conversion. They need me to remove the Gauge, so I have to wait for a while until my regular stuffs are installed. The conversion is very close, very high quality. Carbon fiber face, yellow needles, and red ring, just like the real thing.

slick...

Wow, that's great! Can you please find out if they can alter the face of the gauge (ie. increase top speed from 180 to 200+ & make the tach.'s band orange at 8000-8500 and red at 8500-9000)?

I'd sincerely appreciate that... and yes, your Cuban Habano robusto is in my humidor still, awaiting opportune time for me to post it!
